Opinion on this UI

I've been fooling around ps for a while and came up with this. What do you think? Can anything be changed to make it look better? If so let me know, or you can just tell me your thoughts on it.

Edit: The lower ground of the site is darker than the top when viewing threads. It would make sense for it to blend in with the darker part. Because of that I added the correct background to give you a better sight at the UI.

If anyone is interested, these are some of the wings I use(d). I know the wings I used weren't traditional angel wings, but I wasn't going for that.

Id remove the things beside your name. Maybe let the name be a bit brighter with lights and yea I think it would be great. If you realky wanna have more than just your name, chose other renders or make yourself (or find better places to put them) cause it looks kinda weird

Doesnt look really like wings sry. Well it looks a bit but push a littlemore aside the blue one if you wanna keep them. If not, you should use better wings that plays with lights so it looks awesome with your name

 

It's the same length, the T is wider than the G so it may appear that way. I'll see what I can do when I get on my laptop.

 

Didnt even notice the blue wing on the right till I looked at it like the third time, try highlighting that alittle more, or just putting a glow behind the text/entire UI?

 

Used the correct background color. After lighting it in photshop, it became clear that is wasn't necessary. I will play around with the glows, I have a good idea for it.

 

I don't really like either honestly. I like your current one far more.

 

It's cool. Is there a particular reason as to why you don't like them? I didn't plan on changing my current UI. I just wanted to get a feel of making them, you know?

 

Didn't even think they were wings until you explained, they more look like fins or something. I'm far from a wizard at UIs having only attempted them a few times with little success but I feel there's something more that needs to be added. It's literally just text & wings. In v2 it is slightly improved with the line although I feel there needs to be a graduation between the red/blue instead of just meeting (merging to be purple briefly or sparks or some shit like this as they meet each other). With that being said, the bottom and sides have extra detail, but the text (main part of a UI) has no added effects. Less seems to be more from what I've seen though, maybe some very light bokeh or glow to try and integrate the wings & line to the text?

I would make the wings a little bigger. Also look at V1 , the wings are placed good , now look at V2 the red one is kinda placed on the letter "G" just move it a little bit to the left.

 

I think the font is decent, but you should try a different theme.

The two versions you've submitted look rushed / smushed together.

 

Not the best of UI's, but not as bad as some like Unb4nn3d's (No this isn't directly at you, you was just in sight while making this post).

I didn't realise they were wings at first, I thought the red on the left was a feather to be completely honest. Close enough I guess
I also do not like the red & blue lines at the bottom reason being that it sort of looks like its covering the bottom of the text. V1 is better if it had the brightness of the text like it does on V2.

However, I do like the concept of red on one side blue on the other, just it looks a little empty. Maybe add some more stuff to add that real clash of colors around it.

Not bad overall though, like I said its better then some around here and this is just my opinion. It has a lot of potential.

 

I prefer v2 to your current one as it feels more alive. I think it could still use a few more effects to make it really pop

 

Nice try on v2 but I dont think the theme youre trying to do by sticking with those "wings" is working. However, I see what you want to do. Move down the fire line a bit so its at the same place than the blue line if you choose to keep V2

 

I took your guys feedback into consideration and made V3. Thoughts?

 

Wayy better, I like that.
Only thing is now is the positioning of the right wing. Other then that its great imo.

 

Thanks and fixed it. It's really hard trying to make the wings symmetrical when that damn T is in the way :c

 

Dang that right wing just isn't quite doing it for me . Much better than v1,v2 though
