    PlayerAuctions: The worst system ever.

He told me I should have recorded my entire deal....what? It was done entirely through PlayerAuctions...what exactly could I record that would be of use a month later, that isn't already readily available to the PlayerAuctions team to confirm I gave the buyer the correct security question answer and whatnot?

So basically, if someone comes along a month after a sale and goes "lol the account got recovered", my PlayerAuctions account WILL be closed. Great.

Note, the buyer gave me nothing but trouble the entire way through the deal, and I'd raised my concerns to the support team before when he originally disputed the deal before the payment was ever even completed.

The guy's clearly a scammer, and now I'm paying the price? What kind of sense does this make?

Uhh, the trade was done 100% through PlayerAuctions...record what, exactly? The deal was done a month ago, and I was paid and everything.

What exact evidence do you expect me to record?

How did my post get deleted?.. That was valuable post count.

Anyways.. After reviewing the procedure of account selling on PA, I came to the conclusion that it is impossible to accurately confirm the recovery of an account.

Was your PA account reputable? No negative feedback?

100% positive feedback over 9 trades completed, yes. I've never had any trouble, until this user came along. He was having a lot of trouble with his payment going through (or so he claimed), so he disputed it originally, and then he later canceled the dispute, because we resolved all issues, or so I thought.

He probably used that against you. Was his rep better than yours?

He has literally zero reputation. I wasn't allowed to give him reputation even, for the deal, since he originally disputed the deal.

That's another thing I don't understand. I've had nothing but positive deals, and this user just comes along with obvious intentions to scam, and now I'm paying the price for his diabolic intent. It makes no sense from a business aspect to just close my account without further investigation, and just saying "Well, if ya don't give the account back, you're banned!", when I don't even have access to the account, is a bit insane.

Even if you gave them all the correct account information, they wouldn't be able to recover. I'm sure they know this by now. The original owner of the account can always recover it any given time. I assume they made their decision based on that fact.

I'm interested in the verification process PA does when acquiring the account information. I bet the only thing that was verified was the password of the account.

Based on the overly exaggerated buyer/seller protection, it's clear as day that PA is lying to it's customers.

There is no certainty when buying/selling runescape accounts.

You can pm http://www.sythe.org/members/326450-playerauctions.html about this incident.

It wasn't a RuneScape account, and Blizzard goes a step further. I provided the guy with literally everything they would need.

I PMed him. I hope a response is swift, because I actually have another order pending right now, and if my account gets closed, I'm completely screwed, because I'm relying on this $100+ for two of my bills this month..

Lol you really should go a bit more in depth about the goods you were selling in the op.

    Anywho, good luck.

I suppose I could've, but it really makes no difference, given the situation could happen with literally any type of transaction, ya know?

    Thanks.

Yeah I think using certain forms of payment are just so risky if you get a greedy/dishonest buyer.

It seems like the agent wasn't paying attention, as the feedback he provided would have been appropriate for certain types of trades, but not account sales.

I do however stand behind our standard procedure of suspending accounts whenever a claim is issued. Consider yourself on the other end of the spectrum, in that you are a buyer, come to our website, and buy an account from a dude who's recently recovered it from someone else. You are now at risk.

So when I a complaint comes in, and depending on the severity, yes, an account will get suspended until the issue is resolved and/or fully investigated. That is, until we are sure that you are absolved of any claims. It is due diligence, that's all mate.

You can toss me the order number, and I'd be happy to look into it. Oh wait, I'm not sure I should be offering any help... since we are after all... "the worst system ever" ;)
