Why I dont scam - Long story

So I have been asked many times why I don't scam under any circumstance, even when it "may" be worth it. Well first, let me tell you a little about myself. Up until about 2 months ago, I was a scammer myself. I would research new scamming methods, come up with my own, I even got into RATing at one point. I was basically addicted to scamming, because I made more from simply scamming RS gold than I did my IRL job as a cashier (I'm only 17) .

With a truck, insurance, gas, college, etc. to pay for in the near future, about 2 months ago I realized something. With me being a devout Christian, I never really thought about it this way: Every time I scam someone, God is watching me. Now some of you non-religious people may have simple sighed by this point and left the page, but hear me out. Whether you believe that God is watching you, or you believe that "What comes around, goes around" , OR if you even just believe in doing the right thing, scamming literally goes against every single one of those beliefs.

The main thing that motivated me to be legit was the "God is always watching" part, and I would never want to intentionally steal from someone (especially right in God's face). The second thing that changed the way I think about scamming was that I realized that you can make just as much through legitimacy rather than scamming. In this case, I make just as much and I can still go to bed without feeling kind of bad about what I've done. There are perhaps people who just don't care, but that's just wrong in my opinion, and I regretfully say that I used to be one of those people. To each his own I guess, I can't really change people, but I can share my story in the chance that maybe someone will see this and be like "Yeah, he has a point. I'll try this "

Some people may still say "Well, you being legit now doesn't make up for the people you have scammed." , and while I partially agree, I also partially disagree. The only reason why I disagree is because I have actually done things in a "repay my debts" kind of sense. An example would be anti-scamming. With this, I was basically using what I was good at, for a positive reflect in the community. You may not know what I mean by anti-scamming so here's what it is: I would intentionally scam someone, and no matter how much the amount is, I would give it back, and explain how my scam worked to them so that they won't get scammed in the future. The most I have anti-scammed is 3.4b EOC and I am EXTREMELY proud to be able to say that I had the chance to steal 3.4b, but didn't. To me, with that situation, I kind of proved to myself that I could do it.

I'll end this story here by saying these select few words:

(If you aren't a believer) What comes around goes around - AKA Karma
(if you dont care about anyone or anything) You need to re-think you're life
