The word love is being used too recklessly. For example I'd not call the relationship between a child and the mother love. I see it more as an instinctual drive to protect your offspring on the mothers part and the instinct to not die on the childs part. Love is actualy something much different than what you see in movies. That's one of the reasons why people say "I left her/him because I stopped loving him" or something along those lines. It takes time to love a person, to get to know him. For me love isn't something that comes and goes it's something that you build step by step until one of you dies. That's what I call love, not the ooozy feelings people talk about having/losing. It's like hearing 14 year old say "My one true love left me and I will never love again pohoooo *cries*".

and now ontopic: If you say you love someone, then cheat on her and continue to say you love her then I just can't see how that can actualy be called love. There must be something seriously wrong with the one doing the cheating (OP in this case). Think of it this way. You CHOSE(free will yay) to break all trust in your relationship and for what? For getting to put your D in someones V? Totali worth it right?

Doesn't really sound like a healthy household to me. Your parents couldn't even agree on how to raise you. It sounds like your mother is overprotective and your father wants to do no work at all.

Find you're passion man, whether that be helping people, or doing something else. Find something that makes you happy, follow that happiness. I'm not a very religious person, but I do believe that there is a plan for each and every one of us. Whether you want to believe this or not, I do believe that you just need to find your way. No,no and no. There is no special spot for every person out there. If you died today then you would be just replaced. May it be as a lover or as a worker but surely you would be replaced. You are pretty much telling him to stop trying to fix himself. Find equally fucked up people so they would support him? What load of bull. A true friend will tell you that you are making a bad decicion and he would do everything to stop you. An asshole would say "go for it, dive into the water at an unknown spot *breaks his neck, wheelchair yay!*". If your cancer doesn't submit to the treatment then you would not be trying to get along with it, you'd cut it out. Now replace cancer with faimily.
