Change time between posts.

Currently one post every 30sec.

New:
One post every 5sec

Limit of 10 post every 5min.



Keeps the point of no spam and no double posts, but allows sellers etc to post and reply to all of their threads in limited time scenarios.

I agree, it's annoying waiting 5 minutes to bump all 5 of my sale threads.

 

I support this idea. Back when I was more active the time restrictions between posts turned me off posting.

 

Support as well. When you have a lot of threads you wanna bump for sales and services you gotta wait for such a loooong time

I would support every 10-15 seconds, however, I'm sure Sythe said somewhere it strains the servers/opens up room for exploitation.

Support though. Its annoying, so is the wait between searches. Most any other site big or small doesnt have these limitations. Dont understand whu we have to deal with it.

 

This was the only thing I was able to find regarding denial.

 

I hardly hit it. It's not that big of a deal to wait 30 seconds unless you are posting one word posts.

You don't trade or do anything in the market. When I work for 14hrs every 4 days and have 5min breaks at work it's nice to bump threads then and respond to the messages later.

 

I mean how many threads are there? It shouldn't add up to too much time.

 

Never had an issue of posting inside of the time limit. This only seems viable in the spam forum, and I don't think you can split the posting time limit between forums.

 

Would be extremely nice. Even if it were 3 posts per 90 seconds.

Support... Since 10 posts at 30 seconds in between would be 5 minutes anyways, the delay from start to finish is the same, but this would just be less annoying for users who have multiple threads that need bumping, but only a few minutes. As for server strain it seems it would have little to no effect on it as it's the same posts per 5 minutes either way you look at it (no knowledge of server strain, it may cause more)

Possibly make it a donator bonus only?

Im sure this would rule out the whole possibility of it being exploited.
and gives another incentive to donate!
