Void pure with 42 att/str/def help

Chaning OP entirely:

I'm making a void pure

42 att/str/def 99 hp/range/mage 44 prayer maxed

what questing do I need to do for this account besides veng quests and avas? any that are going to mess up my levels lateron?

 

My account started as a pure, a range gmauler so my starting stats were 55 str, 50 attack, and 70 range (with 1 defense).

I used melee and trained my defense to 70. Took a while but I got there. Longrange will be unbelievably slow and tedious. After that I got my range up. Iron knives are fast, however you can also use a rune crossbow with Mithril bolts or simply just a magic short bow with iron arrows if you want to be a bit conservative on the price.

Can't say too much on quests seeing as I did all my pure quests beforehand. I would get most of recipe for disaster done and out of the way however, barrows gloves are a nice addition. For your attack/stregnth off the top of my head it's Waterfall quest along with The Grand tree/Tree gnome village which you need to quest. Might be another one but can't think of it as have only just started playing again.



My stats/project incase you're interested. Working on my Smithing (superheating etc) and Fletching (For bows to alch) to slowly get that 94 mage I've always been to lazy to get. Will be followed my 94 range too hopefully

So with your current build you're fully quest ed for any items you'd need as well as anywhere you would need to access so you could max with that attack and str?

If anyone has a list of quests I'd need please post because I want to make sure this account is perfectly quest ed for 42 att/str

In the future I'll gain a little attack/str for barrows gloves but that requires tons of quests so staying a void tanker will be more beneficial for now

I could just train to 40 att/str just so I can get 70 defense then train range after

So go from 40/40/70

To getting range up?

Just looking for the best way to approach making a maxed range tank

 

im currently in the making of 60/60/75 range tank, im getting 70 pray tho for piety, and you can easily get barrow gloves without gaining att/str lvls

 

I guess my first question is what quests do void pures do? I don't want my attack/str level surpassing 42 at all.

I'll get my defense up to whatever need be but I don't want my att or str above 42

 

Why don't you want to pass 42? Doesn't the whole combat triangle thing put your account as a ranger and you'll be able to reach like 120 att/str combined?

 

i like keeping things unique and don't want to spend a ton of time training up attack and str when I don't mind grinding out my def for a bit.

I'm just trying to figure out how to build this range tank the best way.

Well think about what you'll require.

arrow slot requires no quests ( I think )

Head, Torso, Legs, Gloves are taken by your void.

Boots; what are the best boots for a ranger/tank and does it require a quest?

Ring; I'd assume an imbued archers ring

Necklace; what ever is the best amulet for a tank and does it require a quest?

Then you'll most likely want vengeance I'd assume so there's your fremmy trails series.

I imagine using a void ranger is easier than not doing so, as getting them barrows gloves is generally the biggest time consumer.

 

why would you get barrows gloves for a void pure when you need void gloves for the set?

 

Because your OP says you'd like them for higher level bossing.

And if you read what I said, I used getting barrows gloves as a comparison to a pures biggest time consumer, rather than a need for your account. Hence it being not too difficult of an account to make.

 

Yeah I know it's not a difficult account to make, but I don't want to rush into it and find out I needed some quest that would ruin the 42/42/42 so i'm just waiting to see what more people say. Thanks

The main thing I would recommend is avoid gaining any melee xp, and then do the whole monkey madness quest series, including accepting 20K attack and defense XP, and 35K Strength and HP XP. Then, you can easily chin at the tunnels. Hope this helps a bit!
