Vouch rank

I was thinking maby add a vouches rank might be alot of work but it would be verry helpful and nice ,

example could start @ 50+ vouches

so you got just like the donor ones but:

50+
100+
200+
300+
500+
750+
1000+
2000+

i think it would look nice and its easy for the buyers to see who they can really trust , but like i said i understand that its prob alot of work.

 

Number of vouches doesn't necessarily equate to trust. It's up to a user to determine the trustworthiness of the person he or she is trading with, and the miniranks/ranks could be especially misleading to newer users.

No support. You can't compare one vouch to another.

Eg,

"Vouch donald Did some Free Skilling"

Is quite different from:

"Vouch sold 5b rs3 to Donald and Went first"

Also, this would probably encourage self vouching.

Quality of vouches is far more important, it's better for people to view the vouches themselves rather than a vouch group/rank.

This would also be unfair judging the quality of the ranks..

E.G Somebody could have sold 50b 3 times, and the other guy may have gone first (Unlikely yes). Somebody could also have done free cooks assistant to anyone in 1 month period and have 50 vouches.

People look at quality, not quantity alot of the time

 

Not sure why peoples still need ranks,when there is already a lot of ranks,mini ranks and etc.
Everyone link his vouches on his signature,not sure this will be helpful at all.
Edit: Also peoples like me with low vouch count (around 25) and traded like 100k usd,will be at lower place than peoples with 100+ vouches worth less than 20k traded..Not fair right?

 

People can get a whole lot of vouches quick if they try hard enough.
An amount of vouches doesn't say anything about the trustworthiness of the user, but the quality can be of some use.

Having any number of vouches will almost never be worthy of a rank of any kind in my opinion.

No support. Quality>quantity in most cases. Also trust is subjective.

 

Vouches mean a whole lot less than the average user thinks. Ranks like these are dangerous and should be avoided.

 

Just saying the obvious If it's matching with your point view then its not only me seeing useless suggestions nowdays.

 

• Could instil a false sense of trust
• Puts new marketeers at a disadvantage/even further behind on face value
• Encourages people to look at quantity over quality, when it should be the other way around
• Would probably increase fake vouching so each vouch would have to be checked up on which would take days if each user has a couple hundred vouches

People already put too much faith in donor ranks and SVU; this would only exacerbate the problem. Also, vouches are whored enough as is...
