Folt - Ban evader on 2 accounts

Folt, I dont recall reading any of these offences in your pardon? This is no different than RSPS staff banning users after initiating a trade.

 

Well said, its kinda sad what he did... way to sad.. I was reading through and I found that someone got banned for this. thank you roary but if u look at it its fucking stupid what he did l0l, basically he was working for jagex...

 

These offenses took placed after I was already banned. All of the offences that are being examined here have already been resolved with all of the users who were directly involved (As I'd mentioned before). Also as I said before, this happened while I was not actively a user on sythe.org - obviously it doesnt make anything right or wrong, I just think its something to make note of.

The reason behind these actions - Many users (MOST FROM SYTHE.ORG) have made continual efforts to report my usersnames. Every other name market regular could vouch for me when I say that I have lost far more than everyone else due to this in combination. When all of my usernames kept getting removed, I was reporting other name sellers that had reported me - in an effort to retrieve and restock my supply (some of the names i was reporting were to get my own names back!!). It's unlikely for some of these people to come out and admit this because obviously it is frowned upon. All I am saying that it could have been any of these name sellers emails to get hacked, and a hacker could have the exact same evidence against then that is being used against me. Since these actions were knowingly taken between each other, we have settled differences, understood what was done is done and it was wrong, I don't think the ban would serve a functional purpose since lessons were learned, apologies were made and that this happened a year ago.

Nonetheless, I've got no intention to involve myself in this type of stuff at all. I've talked out all of the differences with the users who were at my throat for a year or more (even though they continuously sell names that I am the rightful owner of), and we've actually become friends now. I've made a huge effort to try and bring everyone together so that we can clear up the "bad name" that the names market has been getting over the past couple years - because it has been a market that's gone through hell and back. I spent alot of time creating a guide to protect users from losing their usernames, and you have read that, Roary.

Like I said, I do put a lot of time, energy, and care into this not only because I treat this as a full-time job, but because I have a passion for what I do, and I enjoy to deal with new people and bring them together in the community. On a side note, ive received about 60 vouches since my return here.

I have been through hell and back since I was hacked on Monday. All of my accounts on every platform imaginable have been tampered with (my irl phone, facebook, youtube, apple account, all runescape accounts, the list goes on). This is just the cherry on top of everything else. Im surprised I've got hair on my head still after this.

You're right, I agree with your feelings towards the situation.

I'll own up to my actions as I have, and accept whatever discipline/s you and the staff feel are most appropriate for me. I know that a lot of users have faith and trust in me anyways so the TWC would only be a mere crutch anyways.

I think we should give him a TWC and then make this a future offense of a 1 month ban + a TWC or something set in stone. Cutthroat market or not, this goes farther than combating your competition, it's just plain and simply fucked up

I agree with what was said with regards to your honest thoughts about what I have done. I don't exactly agree with "set in stone" offences though because people do change their actions based on prior experiences and lessons learned. As I mentioned, there has been a very large time lapse from what has happened with this report until today's date. I've got no interest in being involved with that ever again, especially now that have been given the opportunity to return to Sythe.org.

Obviously I know this type of behaviour does not get excused under any circumstances. As i said before though, I will accept any discipline that you guys feel is most necessary. I am an honest and optimistic person; when the going gets rough, anyone can make poor decisions when the pressure is on and bumps in the road get hard to manage.

I really do appreciate the opportunity that I've had to return to Sythe.org and I sincerely thank all of the staff members who took part in offering their support in that. I would truly be upset if this opportunity was taken from me because of emails that transpired over 1 year ago, which were possessed and exposed by someone who has victimized me from every angle over the past week.

There is not much else to say on my end. However I will be patiently awaiting some sort of response and discipline with regards to this, as I check back at the thread consistently throughout every day until then.

 

I support this idea. The rule should be set in stone in the future though. Great thinking Dave.

 

Folt, I just want you to know, I personally trust you, so the TWC isn't a matter of trust. It's just that you need to be reprimanded because behavior like this isn't normally tolerated.
