Would it be useful to compile a list of all scam reports?

Should I compile a list of all past scam reports on Sythe? As in titles, text, image links (I'll remove tags so they dont take up too much space/stretch the page), and whatever else people are posting in scam reports. That way people can go through and see if people match banned users' skypes/ips/whatever else. Obviously this would be scraped by a program, not by hand.

Would this be useful?

Yeah, definitely. This is what I do. Jwing if it makes sense to do or not really. I'm leaning towards no personally, but if it helps someone, it takes me like an hour to do.

 

This was gonna happen before but never took off. I'm sure it would help a couple people out but the same result can be achieved by googling contact information really.

 

Why dont we change thread names to include the banned persons username if people do indeed get banned for scamming.

 

Googling solves this problem. Use proper keywords and you're set. And ok, it seems unnecessary. I'll leave this open for like a day and see if anyone else comes through.

 

Having a page to enter a skype and having it tell you whether or not it is a scammer skype would be useful.

Why not like a legit page that makes it look legit? Put skype in field, hit submit and it checks for you. Could do a fuzzy search against imposter lists or known skype lists.

It is more professional and more feature rich if you code it.

 

That coding isn't beyond me, but I'd have to look up how to do it. I'm happy to compile the list if someone else wants to do the rest. Shouldn't be too bad I don't think.

 

As soon as scammers start getting busted they'll change Skypes

 

Would contain all IPs reported as well, not that enough people post IPs of banned vaders... plus people already change Skypes now, no?

 

Roary youd be suprised. While I was banned I caught atleast 30 ban evaders using the same skype.

if we enforced putting the scammers name (or even skype) in thread titles it would make searching much easier.
