Minecraft Investor

Hello all I am looking at starting a minecraft private server although I am lacking one key detail; funding.

• I have multiple developers ready for hire (website,graphics, plugin, and server)
• Hosting company is already negotiated with
• a marketing plan/advertising role
• a basic estimate of our user base

This is a niche-minecraft server (one that is unique to the others) guaranteed to strike some interest in the minecraft world.

I am experience in managing these servers and would like to ask the Sythe community for an investor. I will be splitting 20% of equity with the investor and he/she will have the ability to play a role in all decision making processes(this can range from changing server properties, to management of staff) if you choose to, otherwise you can sit back and enjoy the residual income flow in.

The investment I am looking for is ~(approx)$500USD.

I am not asking for you to send me this money (Neither I or you are stupid) but you will be talking to each developer and once the product is shown you will pay accordingly.

In addition a legally binding contract can be made for the two of us in this joint-venture if you would like

How exactly are you planning on this server to gain the vast interest from the minecraft community?

(this is not a gab or insult on you, just interested)

 

I worked as an intern for my fathers company, and I was in charge of marketing, over the couple of months I was there for I learned a few tricks that helped me out big time (from the older more experienced individuals I worked with) I have a few ideas in regards to attracting attention for our server and I believe that there is much potential in minecraft when focusing on a target market of children aged 10-16. I can't share the 'exact' techniques I plan to use, all I can really say is I will be using methods beyond the typical servers. And thank you very much for the question !

Also this is against the rules. Long story short a few people decided they wanted some investors for their successful staking operations and OP did not deliver. It was a big debacle and now you aren't allowed to actively seek investors. Selling equity is another story but you're essentially asking people to buy into an unproven business and as such a smart investor would ask for a reasonably large (read controlling) stake. 10% isn't even close.

 

Yeah I actually saw this kind of stuff and was interested in it, but the only issue is that in regards to a minecraft-server it's a hard sell, I could give it a shot though!

I can understand where that can come as an issue. Although, you can look at this as more of an "equity" for money proposition, anyhow the point is; if people understand as much as I do the potential profit that minecraft can bring in it will spark some interest. So I mean like I said there are many methods to prevent one from not delivering what I want(e.g. I specifically talked about you meeting the developers and seeing a final product before we pay anything) things like that.
