What do you think happens when we die?

All I can say is, have faith.

 

I am not disputing that memories are stored in the brain. I am disputing that memories themselves are physical. I can't look at your brain and experience a memory because a memory is not physical. It is part of your consciousness which is not itself physical although what causes it is.

No I am not. That link is not relevant in any way. I can not touch memories. It is literally impossible. Memories are physically STORED. THEY ARE NOT PHYSICALLY EXPERIENCED.

yup they're not physycally experienced, but it is proven that they can be.

 

How can they be? That has most certainly not been proven.

1º it was proven by theory, then by experience.
This second part still hasn't been managed to be done with memories, just the beggining (visually)

 

But I don't think you are say that the experience is a part of your body. What causes it obviously is, but there is a distinction.

 

Does anyone here believe that there IS life after death --- in any form?

I'd be REALLY interested to hear thoughts on this from an intelligent point of view. Really interested.

 

I think you just go to sleep forever, nothing happens. Although dreaming is strange. Maybe we go into a different dimension.

 

i truly believe that it won't be any kind of life after death because if your "soul" is formed in your brain, when you die, you brain dies so therefore there will be nothing left from you to exist in any kind of afterlife.
But this is me, a person who is on science side. I like to know hear other person's opinion, not close minded

 

the distinction exists because we lack technology at the moment to say the oposite. Give it some decades(maybe centuries?) and i can assure you that there will be advances in science that will let us replicate "souls" into full cloned bodies.

 

No way of knowing. No point in arguing beliefs as there is no evidence to substantiate such beliefs.

No, you cannot assure anything of the sort. It may seem likely to you due to the advances that have been made in science and engineering in the past century, but please, if you are going to talk science then understand the principle of certainty; you think it will be likely, but that does not mean it will definitely happen.
