Admin duties are duties that admins should do on the forums such as reports, handling situations, technical duties, managing the community,account creations, account recoveries, ip bans, censoring, forum restructure, giving opinions, managing staff, handing promotions and demotions, making sure mods are doing their jobs, organising suggestions and feedback, livestreaming 24/7, abusing power, and looking over suggestions. The fact that you don't know what admin duties are really goes to show that N4n0 doesn't do them.

If the staff aren't communicating, how is that not N4n0's fault? At the top of the chain, he should be fixing it. But he doesn't do his duties. Instead, he sits back and lets you run the forum.

 

How this shit is still going on 7 and a half months later is beyond me. People fucked up, and by that I mean both users and staff members. Why the fuck can we not just unban everyone involved, everyone apologizes to everyone as at some point, EVERYONE was in the wrong, and fucking move on. This is such a joke now, ridiculous.

EDIT: Not even going to follow this anymore. Going to go watch the other 2 World Cup matches that are on today. This is getting boring now, everyone grow the fuck up and stop holding grudges. We all make mistakes and no one's perfect.

 

My personal opinion on the matter is that we cannot let those involved in the situation make the decisions that affect other people's futures on Sythe. Inevitably there will be personal bias and feelings that cloud rational judgement on both sides. You must have a third party handle problems like this to avoid such problems.

This comes down to professionalism and treating everyone equally. I'm not agreeing with anything that has happened but I believe everyone deserves a fair trial regardless of who it affected. That is not to promise a lifted ban but at least the shot at having their story heard.

 

That's your own fault. Take responsibility for your own privacy. Set your Facebook privacy settings to be more secure. Seems like you want to blame everyone but yourself.

He just told me on Skype that he has never followed Trin on Facebook, nor does he even use Facebook often. It's just more nonsense coming out to keep him banned for his (no longer existing) association with BA.

OT the manner in which he approached you post pardon is nothing less than ransom. I cant believe he could act as though things are settled, let you back and then pull this stunt. I am taken aback that this sort of behavior is tolerated.

I have never heard anyone call a picture which was taken from rightful owner [without his/her consent] a stolen 'good'. Anyway, disregarding that; lets say I agree with you [which I don't] - How is inviting someone to a chat equal to passing the stolen good on?

They were in no way spreading the pictures - How do you wish to prove that the incentive behind the invite was the spreading picture? It was a skype conversation, where people were talking about other things as well. Since you like the courtroom approach in these ridiculous situation as well, please be as kind to elaborate how you would ever prove that anyone who invited anyone else to the skype conversation did it with the intention of showing the picture to them [seeing they could've simply copied the links if they wanted to] - There was a drama in that skype conversation [I was invited myself] - It was a good read, the way people raged was actually funny - if I weren't in university at the time, I myself would've invited others [without the intention of spreading the picture to them].

So if someone doesn't agree with the situation it's a god awful opinion, based on which their post should be infracted? Trin is CONSTANTLY upsetting everyone with her approach and the comments she makes and you keep on defending her. Why? It was all her and Ryan who started this - things got out of hand, right. I agree with the consequences in certain cases, but the fact she is still being arrogant and stuck up and you STILL defending her is beyond me.

 

Passing a torrent file around isn't passing stolen goods though, it is a breach of copyright law and possessing and/or passing a torrent file isn't against the law. Downloading the files that the torrent allows you to is. It is possessing an unauthorized copy of material that is copyrighted.

 

I don't think this will be productive. It really depends on your location and the laws are still up in the air.

 

It is a copyright issue in the US more than anything else. If I am given the documents I am not being given stolen goods. I am being given a copy of stolen goods. Whether or not I can publish them without a copyright claim really comes down to whether or not their is a public interest that outweighs your right to copyright.

 

Instead of trying to find excuses to compensate your agenda, can you actually resolve this issue?
