    You can't compare them since one is client side and one is server side so I'm not sure what you're asking.

    I'm asking your opinion about their usefulness / efficiency. Some people side with HTML, which can be a pain in the ass; others side with PHP, which can be messy, etc.

    It really depends on the problem. At my internship they have historically done everything on the server but lots of places are offloading processing to the client to save their servers.
