Hattez was unbanned after the picture incident because it was found out that he wasn't involved in it (was sleeping during the conversation). He was later banned for something else (I don't know the reason).

Would that not generally be a one month ban though for leaking information? It seems that the only reason the ban was changed to permanent was because of who it was.

 

technically that is what that particular rule says.

 

You know very well that not every single one of us who were lumped together hacked her e-mail. From my understanding it was a few BA members and Alex_J_Leon was used as the scapegoat even though he was not involved (maybe because of his past role at BA). Even pornography is only a one month ban, but got extended due to the same reason, even though they were not involved in the hacking. Our conversation on Skype was literally just a "troll-n4n0" chat and had nothing to do with the hacking.

To add to this, Hattez was asleep during the hacking. You have the chat logs in the staff lounge, it's easy to see that he did not speak and was unbanned from that.

Anyway man I respect you and would love to continue this discussion, but don't want to get too involved due to conditions set on my unban. It's just sad to see the site that you used to love so much slowly going downhill due to lack of activity from the upper staff members and then this stuff coming up, reminding us of what we've seen in the past.

I'll refrain from posting regarding this any more, but I just wanted to clear Hattez's name for him.

 

We didn't know how bad it was going to get. It started off as us calling him out for other things and ended up with us getting pictures from BA guys. No one expected it to go that far and I feel awful that it did and even worse that I was a part of it.

 

everyone who was banned from being in the chat deserve to be permed and have their accounts deleted.

It'd be more like someone robbed a bank, showed us pictures of it, and we showed the pictures to our friends. With your analogy it'd be like saying we all logged in to her hacked e-mail, or even had prior knowledge that it was going to happen. The pictures were dumped on us and we had a laugh with them, that is it.

Even SuF's is more like it. We found money, showed our friends what we found, but never used the money because we knew it was stolen.

 

you should have called the cops... but did you legally have to? do you get to keep the money? will you go to jail if you don't return it? if you don't report it??

 

I invited Yaroow into the chat and he reported us, so technically you could say I was just helping out.

At first we actually had no knowledge of where it was from. If you read the chat, it was later discovered.

While you're right, I still think the bans are targeting the wrong people. You guys never went after those directly responsible. They should be the ones paying restitution.
