Requesting a Player Mods Assistance & Some PA Support

Hey all,

This thread is about two things.

1. I need a RuneScape 07 (Oldschool) player moderator's assistance in game. It's nothing to drastic, and I will happily compensate you for your work in a form that you see fit. I fully understand a desire to keep your identity hidden so I would be best for you to PM if you're interested. Or simply add my Skype (this might be the better option)

2. I'm slightly interested in purchasing an account off of PlayerAuctions, however I have a few questions about the safety of the process. I've worked with playerauctions and I'm aware that the actual trade itself is done very easily and it's relatively safe. My concern is after I've already confirmed my payment/accepting of the account, what if the original owner recovers the account? What proof do I need to get a refund from PA? Are there ways to make this type of trade safer?

I think you can take out insurance on accounts in case of recovery. Personally I wouldn't use PA to buy accounts because trust is much more easily gaged on Sythe for me. PA is relatively anonymous feeling.

The thing is, I've seen on PA that there's a lot more re-assurance when it comes to getting refunds and such. At least that's what I've been told by friends. Obviously I'd prefer a sythe based purchase but the chances of finding the account I'm looking for isn't looking to great.

1. I'd look to see if the person thats selling has sold the account before.
2. Find out if the guy is from sythe, chances are he is.
3. You could always buy the account, do a look up on the details he gives you.(If it's a login email google search it and see if it comes up to a banned sythe account or known account that's been sold before) and if it is with the insurance you can get a refund on it.
4. The insurance program is pretty good anyways. If you pay for insurance, PA will give you're money back 100%. They keep a record of accounts sold when you input the information. So if I were to sell you a account and you buy insurance. I take it back, PA will attempt to recover the account using the info I gave them. If they cant get it back themselves they refund you 100%, no matter what.

 

Ok, basically, its a mixed bag. For instance, some can be legit. When I bought my account, it was pretty much maxed out for $100. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. The checking process took 20mins and they didn't notice that the recoveries were still set -_- . Imo not all their fault, largely down to me as I should have known something was up, however I turned into a 5 year old when I saw all the stats I had ever dreamed of. Be careful, it's probably best if you buy from a trusted seller off here. I doubt anyone would try to scam you here unless they don't care about being ip booted from sythe.

 

Yea like boat said, make sure you get the insurance, and buy from a trusted user.

Ehh, I figure its gonna be super hard to find a Player Mod on a site such as this, but you never know.

 

Not at all, I've had various PMOD accounts in the past while being on sythe.

@Dave I sold my pmod account for rsgp a few weeks ago, bad timing lol. I'll ask around for you though.

 

How much is a pmod acc? How much did you make?

I've seen one sell off-site for around £1000, this was an IRL transaction between two IRL friends who trusted each other a great deal.

I'm curious about how this compares here...

 

This is a little high in my experience. I sold mine for $1,500, but it had some special JMOD given perks like unlimited membership and solomons store so it was pretty rare.

I've seen accounts for for $300-500 before without stats, but not sure about the safety of those trades are. I'd expect to pay $500-1000 basically for a PMOD account with good stats.

It would be way better to buy an account off skype so this way you can atleast talk to the seller.

 

uh, I'm guessing thats what he wants to do. Most people just like to use the chat function, but if someone is going to scam him, I really don't think physically talking on skype will actually make that much difference

 

Well to be quite honest, first and foremost I'm interested in the P-Mod, I think the maxed account will just come in due time, gotta wait for someone trustworthy to attain one.
