G4ngst4:

G4ngst4, leet-speak spelling of "Gansta," really is an internet-thug. Upon the issue arising (more details will be provided below), he decided the best course of action was DDoS me for hours on end. There are many witness of this happening, and I did provide proof to moderators and he was perm-banned near instantly. G4ngst4 then attempted to debate with staff members about how he was going to stop the attack. However the DDoS attack persisted all-day. Due to my Usage Allowance on my internet through Comcast and Cox Communications, this "Allowance" of data was passed and I incurred a $75 fee on my phone, internet, and TV bill. (Please note: I am almost positive this fee is from the DDoS/stressing attack on my home internet. We usually use much less than the Allowance and have never had a fee like this before. We did not use any exuberant amounts of data/internet services this month therefore the only thing that could have made us exceed this limit is the attack that G4ngst4 performed.) ​

I have been attempting to work with G4ngst4 to resolve the situation. My original solution was to create both Fracesoaq and G4ngst4 new accounts of the same type, with equal or better stats. The two parties initially rejected this offer. After some time, I was able to work it out with Fracesoaq; he and I will continue to talk and potentially do business in the future.​

I have tried working with G4ngst4 to get him an adequate replacement account for the one he lost. This is the account that he lost. The account was a basic half-finished void pure, fully quested attack and defense (was apparently level 41 before our agreement), with adament gloves in OSRS (1 more RFD-subquest over mithril gloves). I asked him what the value of the account was so I could repay him for the account and be done with it since he did not want a new account (PICTURE). He then took some time to yell at me and tell me I couldn't value his account, but to him it was worth 150m OSGP (as of today's rates, about $440-$450 USD PICTURE). Now, 150m OSgp is not pocket change. He then went on to gloat about HOW HE BOTTED ALL OF THE EXPERIENCE (PICTURE).

Eventually, he finally agreed that 150m is a bit pricey and that a quote from an account seller would be useful. G4ngst4 demanded that the account seller be very trusted, one of the most trusted. One of the most trusted people I know that sells accounts is Farcast. Now, I would be lieing if I said that Farcast and I did not do business in the past. However, I consider him one of the most trusted and skillful in the trade. PLEASE NOTE I DID NOT tell Farcast what to say, nor did I tell him what I thought of the account. I allowed him to be as objective as possible and evaluate the account as it was (41 def). Farcast's appraisal came back with 25m (PICTURE). Here is further proof of him demanding the 150m or $300.

This next image is where I attempt to reason with G4ngst4 and offer to PAY Farcast, out of my own pocket for a REASONABLE replacement for an account to be made for him (PICTURE). He then goes on to say HOW HE DOESN'T EVEN WANT AN ACCOUNT FROM FARCAST, AN EX-GLOBAL MOD OF THE SITE (Picture). Clearly the man is trying to MILK ME for all that I am worth.

Now I make him another offer of 55m OSgp in total, 25m cash directly to him, and 30m which I would charge him for the overage fee I incurred due to his illegal activities (PICTURE). He once again denies my attempt to provide him a reasonable compensation for his losses (PICTURE). The conversation with him plummeted from there to him saying that maybe something between 100 and 150 may work for him but whatever he said he wouldn't take 1 gp less. The man will not reason with me and is asking for luxuriant amounts of money and denies my requests to compensate his account with a reasonable replacement made by a very trusted member of this site.

Random Mention Here: I would like to mention that this is the reason the payment was not returned right away, I was going to use the payment to rebuild the accounts to give to the customers.


Anything you weren't banned for but want to confess to now:

I have committed another violation of the rules whilst I have been banned. While banned I did evade my ban as the user Eye Ur El. I would like to make it known that no one has coerced me or forced me to come forward with this information. I SRB'd that account myself without anyone threatening me. I am merely wishing to be as honest as possible with the staff here at Sythe.org. I was able to register for a new account because as I was being DDoSed I was using my mobile phone's 4G to look up ways on changing your IP address. I eventually found a method on changing your mac address on your router if you have a dynamic IP. This worked.

However, it worked too well, it allowed me to create a new account and come back to the site that I do love.

However, while we are on the topic of the vader account "Eye Ur El," I would like to make several mentions to particular members here at Sythe.org...

FireZ - FireZ, you top the list as first and foremost. In this thread I called you out toward the end for a quote you said in one of the threads, and I called it the worst bit of moderating that I had ever seen. I would like to publicly apologize for this, as it may be my only time to do so. At the time I was irate over several things and seeing someone who I consider to be a friend, Ziggily, get a TWC just pushed me that tiny bit over the edge, and for some unintelligent reason, I somehow came to blame you. I appreciate all you have done for the site since before I even joined. Even as a more recent member, I have heard tales of your ban hammer. I know when you issue TWCs and bans you are looking out for the best interest of the site. As someone who has MUCH less experience than you in moderating I apologize for questioning your judgement. With that thread I acted on impulse and anger instead of thinking about what I was writing to make it constructive and positive for the community. You have been a moderator for so long and I am sure that you have worked extremely hard to accomplish the things that you have, on Sythe.org and in the real world.

Roary - Roary, similarly to FireZ, I was very rude and arrogant toward you in my feedback/suggestion thread. The suggestion was poorly thought out, rushed, and all around shitty. I cannot apologize enough for flaming you in that thread. In the interest in all of the staff's valuable time, I will not reiterate what I said above again, but just know that it applies to you too, Roary. With that thread I acted on impulse and anger instead of thinking about what I was writing to make it constructive and positive for the community. Surely you too have put in much more work than most to make this site what it is today. I know that if there was ever an issue you two would surely be some of the first respondents to it.

Entrr - I consider you one of the finest Sythers. I know that you trusted me more than 99.9999998% of the site. I am sorry to say that this event may have caused you to lose some faith in me, but I do plan to make it up to you. I appreciate the fact that I know there is someone who is on my Skype list whom I can ask questions and chat with if I have an questions or concerns. I hope that over time, we can rekindle the relationship that we had until it is burning like it was before.

To All My Friends - Dearest friends, I appreciate that you have stood by me in these times of trouble. I hope that I have not lost your faith or confidence in myself as a person. Together, I hope that we can get through these trying times so we all can benefit. Together I know that we can all combine thoughts and ideas to make a better site for us all. Detailed description of the events that took place:

To everyone that has read my replies to the reports, this will be nothing new. In fact, I plan to condense it all in the interest of time for ALL staff members reading this.

• 1. I UNDERSTAND that I took on both parties orders.
• 2.* My Skype Password was IRLSeller123 (I made this Skype THE FIRST day I joined Sythe.org and couldn't think of anything else.)
• 3. Both parties left for the night and I continued on my own Zerker pures quest to barrows gloves.
• 4. In the morning I get massive amounts of spam Skype messages saying "WTF" ect. to my Skype.
• 5. After I login to Skype, G4ngst4 begins his DDoS regime.
• 6. After 8-10 hrs or so of unplugging and repluggin in my router, I am able to change my IP and login uninterupted.
• 7. I did rage for awhile at the thought that people would really think that my reputation was worth a mere $45 or so.
• 8. Eventually I decided that it would be easier and better for me to remake the accounts and accept the ban on Sythe.org. If the parties didn't want the accounts, they didn't have to use them but I was going to give the accounts to them anyway.
• 9. Several weeks go by and I have an account that is almost as good as G4ngst4's void pure, just 10 attack levels higher. So I unblock the two people and message them asking them to appraise their accounts.
• 10a. Fracesoaq says he doesn't really care about the account as it was only a 60/70/1 with MM. He said he didn't need or want a new account, just the money he had paid me. I happily refunded him
• 10b. G4ngst4 told me to "fuck myself" among other things and then he told me that I can't value or appreciate the value of his account. ect.
• 11. Pretty much from this point forward, everything that I have to say is already listed under Proof of Contacting Victims for repayment or repayment of victims.
• * I have changed my password to something much more secure that has multiple upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols to improve my own security. I have also bought Skype Credit with a credit card to make the account even more easily recoverable should for any means, someone gain access to it.

Why do you think we should forgive you?:

Being banned has really shown me that I truly do love this website. Every time I would go on my computer I would be painfully reminded that I was not a welcomed member of this great community. This really got me thinking as to what I was to this community. What I meant to this community. It got me to think of what it was without me.

Sure, trades may continue on! Sure, donations will keep coming in! Hell, Staff members will continue to work their arses off to handle spam and scam reports in every part of the board.

Realizing this was eye-opening and crushing. Never before had I seen myself as someone who wasn't a leader. Never before had I considered myself to be minuscule and unimportant. This is NOT a trait that I wish to embrace. In fact, I am devastated to have even realized that this is what I am, but it is the stone cold truth.

This is one of the major reasons I wish to return as a member of Sythe.org. If allowed to return, I plan to express my ideas for change in structured positive ways, rather than bashful and demeaning ways. I wish to express my ideas and have them heard, and hopefully changed, provided they are well accepted ideas.

By accepting me back as a member of Sythe.org, you are accepting back an old user with a new mentality. I want to see the site grow and flurish, even if Runescape is dieing. I already have several great ideas for ways to improve existing categories by restructuring certain subforums. I have other ideas as to how to improve the pardoning system and a potential way to improve the marketplace, and NOT JUST the Runescape market.

I hope this pardon has helped you feel "whole-heartedly that the user will not repeat any offenses." I hope that you will support me through this tough time so that we all may prosper.

Support! I was around the day this broke out. IRL Seller, Fracesoaq and I spoke with G4ngst4 on Skype chat to get the situation resolved. Fracesoaq was cooperative while G4 was clearly trying to milk the situation. At the time, I was able to get G4 to admit that he was DOSS attacking IRL Seller. G4, said that it was he the first time he ever done that before but upon further talking to this user I don’t believe him. While, I think it was stupid to have such a simple password, IRL Seller has literally done everything possible to make the situation right. His pardon should be used as an example for the standard in format and information given. I wish you the best of luck and I would personally welcome your return to Sythe.org

Roary, I think that's a pretty unfair statement. IRL Seller never claimed to waltz back in here, he has taken full responsibly by making it right and being honest with his evasion. In my opinion, this pardon isn't really about evading a ban it about if we believe he was truly hacked and didn't just get caught scamming and paid people back. I witness his reactions on TeamSpeak and Skype and I believe that he was a victim of circumstance. He could of easily just said screw this and never made it right. But he didn't go that route, I understand that vading is against the rules but this is a high pardon you are allowed to have broken more than one rule and still return to Sythe.org

Right now we are calling into question if we trust his character and if we think he would be an assets to the community. Personally, I do which is why I supported him however if vading after his situation is that much of a deal break I'm pretty sure there are going to be very few pardons you support. Because I personally vading on numerous accounts during my pardon processes, the difference here and in my case is we never hide the fact. Pretty sure we could of probably link him but we didn't catch it and he pointed it out to us. Clearly no intentions of scamming. However, if we caught it and he didn’t tell us then I would not be supporting.

I know you admitted to Ban evading in your pardon, but it seems pre-empted. Meaning, you ban evaded on purpose knowing you were going to pardon straight away, which doesn't come off very good. I'd have likely supported if you waited a few weeks-months, opposed to straight away.

You've shown that you're willing to do what it takes to pay back those affected by this and turned in your evading account. I don't feel like you were going to in any way use your alt. account for scamming purposes.

Although you ban evaded, I know you're not a risk to the site and had no ill intention in mind while evading. You did however, wait up until the day you pardoned to request a ban on your evasion account. Personally, I'm torn both ways on this one. I'm thinking you should wait this one out. I'll support the next one whole-heartedly.
