Buying an RS account off ebay

I was looking to buy an eoc account of ebay , would this be safe?

Does that not mean I can not get the cash back off of ebay?

 

eBay don't allow the sales of virtual items/goods. This could wind up in the seller being banned, and they won't help either party resolve any "cases" between the sale of virtual goods, as no concrete evidence can be given of such item being delivered.
I only know this because I legitimately sold virtual goods on eBay and winded up permanently banned. After 3 years they won't let me back, so frankly, they don't care and they won't take me back, despite having 500+ positive feedback (with 2/3 negatives).

1. RS accounts can always be recovered by the original owner.

If you want an RS account that will forever be yours, invest the capital you would have used to purchase an account into premium bot scripts, and bot the account. You can even then pay people to Quest the account for you.

2. AFAIK, Ebay doesn't support the selling/buying of virtual goods. So you won't get your money back.

 

Sellerman, have you recent experience on the latest/popular botting platforms? I thought the ban rates were still sky high. Wish Nexus was still around..

 

If you are going to purchase an account, your best bet is from someone reputable here who claims to be the original owner. This is still able to be recovered but if they are reputable here they generally have more to lose than the account for scamming/getting banned. Be aware, this will be more expensive than other options seeings how people who are scamming can easily undercut legit people.

Otherwise, training/botting/paying someone to train your own account is absolute best.

It's against Ebay's terms of service to sell virtual items as well.

 

I suggest you make an account and pay someone to do what you don't wana do. Accounts usually always get recovered.

 

I was on the phone with ebay and they told me when a buyer disputes something they bought thats a virtual service they will be awarded the money back because its a illegal virtual trade, but honestly when you call ebay you get different representatives give you different answer's, what sellerman said makes more sense to me.

 

Most account sales on PA go without a hitch. That being said however, RS account sales specifically give our staff the most headaches and we end up absorbing more fraud for this product type than for any other game. Good for you guys. Horrible for us.

Though we could continue RS account trade and be comfortable with the vast majority executing without issue, there is still the higher risk that weighs on my mind here, and have been recently deeply considering whether to keep this product type open on the platform.

That being said, your comment interests me because it (seems) to circumvent some of the issues unique to RS account sales.

Would pushing a "leveling" service be better? And if so, why don't more people opt for that gaming service? Should it be encouraged over flat out account trades?

@OP, do not conduct your virtual asset trades on eBay.

 

I personally purchase levelling services. The only trouble is, RuneScape has 20+ skills. I would probably invest £200 in hitting the cap for one of those skills if I were to use powerlevelling services. Accounts are on sale with all skills capped for as little as $400, however there's the security risk.
Nevertheless, there is a market in powerlevelling on RuneScape.

 

Do not purchase accounts on ebay. Buy off someone with vouches on here or PA with a lot of vouches.
