After I saw Superman's Usertitle, I decided to give it a look;

The website claims to have hosted $159,400,000 value of BTC in 606,370,725 rolls, averaging to a $0.25 / Roll disregarding all the bets that are made without any stake.

Taking a random sample of the most recent bets, the largest one was $0.0075 in value converted - Seeing its an average, $0.25/Bet, all those bets that you can see below are outliers, according to statistics. Therefore the chances of so small bets being made, are very rare. Yet here you have it. Some magic must be done for that average to jump that much

Taking this a step further, let's suppose 30% of the bets are made without stake, even though I'm 100% sure it's a lot higher than that.

I don't think he represents them, he was just paid to advertise.

In any case, that is suspicious.

 

I know, those claims are still flat out laughable nonetheless.


EDIT: I forgot to mention the part, that the owner, since it's a game of chance which has a long run statistics is [according to the website] in $1,570,000 profit, yet he needs people to advertise his shit [on a sythe.org calibre website]. Legit.

what you took a screenshot of shows all bets but many do not appear, the larger bets are shown on the high roller tab

For example, use the automated betting system they have and bet 0 for 1000 rolls, open another tab in incognito mode or get someone else to check it and barely any of those bets will appear on the "All Bets" tab.

 

I see; However - If you still take into account, that what we see on the SS you made is about 20 bets? in 2 hours' span which had an average of say $35 in value? Add that to the amounts that are wagered on the public one, it still doesn't come out to $0.25/Avg bet, taking into consideration play money bets, etcetera.

I'm not questioning their legitimacy, as I honestly couldn't care less. But those claims I don't believe.

As far as I'm aware the owner of PrimeDice is Apple (I dont know him by his real name) known mainly from staking on RS and obviously he knows how much of a gambling community RS had before Jagex removed all player run games, so hes mainly trying to appeal to all the people that can no longer gamble on RS.

 

As far as I know prime dice is a legit site and the owners have made a large amount of profit.

Primedice is a very legit site, it's also provably fair.

 

Just checked the high rollers tab: http://puu.sh/8scXA.png. I don't think $0.25 is an unreasonable average bet. That's less than 1m rs3 today... and even when dicing/flowering were around in rs3, 500k (at ~$0.50/m) was considered a very low bet. It's not really the most useful statistic though since someone can bet 10 btc with a very low multiplier and drastically alter the average bet value. More interesting would be the median bet, which I'd assume is very low.

 

Although I agree, take into consideration that BTC value was at ~$1k for a while and he had a lot of bets when they were around that value, now the value of BTC is ~$430

 

Don't forget, that a vast majority of the bets [as on most gambling sites] are free bets - which were NOT taken into account in this average, meaning without that, the average would be even higher.

$0.25 for a bet is nothing, I wager [in total] $1-4K+ / week on sport events easily, however rolling a dice and making bets that actually make any sense are two different things.

As for the 10 BTC bet etc, no one in their right mind would bet $4,000 on a virtual dice, even though if 1-98 = you win 99-100 = you lose. That's just my opinion though.

I calculated the $15,700,000 in BTC's current value, meaning in reality the wager has been $20,000,000+ According to his claims, which I still find laughable.

 

I use primedice all the time actually. You need to find the thread at Bitcointalk.org to see who owns and operates it. I don't believe that the free bets add to the roll counter. There are hundreds of people auto martingaling the lowest denomination of a Bitcoin 0.00000001, and making less than a fraction of a cent profit.

Actually, Primedice is legit, the betting system is provably fair and all the stats they show in public are legitimate and they indeed have earned $1.5m+

You see, even though you don't manage to profit with your gambling services,
that doesn't mean that others couldn't. PrimeDice was a big success.

It's run by Apple, who was known as a large staker and had a flowers FC before they were banned.

 

Im friends with two 40% stake holders and judging by their lifestyle $1.5m sounds very realistic they also made a lot off just buying their coins at $100 when Primedice came out.

Okay so they started with about $150,000 in Bitcoins which translates to now about $600,000 and knowing both the owners they haven't sold a coin since $1,000. even if 1.5m Sounds inflated to you it shouldn't just because of BTC price change. For the amount of time invested into the site compared to IRC dicing clan with 20% house edge, 50+ staff and less volume I think theyre doing pretty well.

interesting information you have here ^o^, I see what others are saying about the figures and numbers but at the same time I am morely confused as too why they wouldn't start too sell when it started it's decline
