    Looking for help on build

Hey my computer is around 3 years old and about 2 weeks ago it started making a fucked up screeching noise, After checking it was coming from the power block and now when I turn computer on it starts makes few weird noises then turns off. I have decided it's time for a new computer, What I want to do is build into this computer.

I have about £400 budget which is about $700 to spend purely on hardware don't need nothing else. But not really sure what components can go with others, Any advice on a good build for £400? Average gaming will be done but nothing hardcore. Just games like LoL etc.

Will you be playing other games like watchdogs, battlefield 4, etc.?

Do you plan on overclocking and do you do any other activities aside from gaming - do you do graphics, 3D rendering, etc.?

And do you need a case and PSU, or do you want to recycle your old case and power supply?

No I have a xbox one for my major gaming, Main games will just be RS/LoL. No graphics or 3D rendering just general use really. I'm hoping to keep what I have but just upgrade whatever I can. I can't get the specs tho because it won't turn on =[.

    See here: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3vLlX

This is about the lowest I can go while still giving you a half decent build (comfortably). I also left room for you to choose a case that you like (~30).

I just checked and they seem to be compatible to me. I couldn't find what BIOS that motherboard comes with, but worse case scenario you'll have to flash the bios in order to get support for an 8 core CPU. (in which case you'll need a cpu that is does support lying around)
And yeah, putting parts together is pretty simple. for the most part its playing the matching game really.

Those parts look like they would do you good for just playing RS and such.

And for putting it together, it's very easy. Like Under Dizzle said, it's like playing a matching game. Watch a few videos beforehand, and make sure yourself and the case is grounded, that way you don't shock the motherboard or processor and ruin it.

Are you looking for the best machine you can make with your budget, or do you want the best for as little money as possible? If you're just doing LoL and RS you hardly need such a good graphics card or processor.

If you want to keep the current one you have, buy a replacement psu. Get a larger wattage though. That way, you can eliminate the issue of it turning off. (if that doesn't solve it then your motherboard is shot and you need a new one).

Once the problem is solved, use the rest of your budget to upgrade everything in the computer. Ebay the old stuff that works too. That way youre not too much out of pocket but you also don't have to get a totally new system
