Report a Scammer improvement

Should have a "Report this user for scamming" icon on profiles and written in the drop down menu under a user's name which leads to http://www.sythe.org/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=253 in a format similar to OP's.

 

I like this idea as well. Much quicker to report.

Nah, there is enough clutter.

I don't mind this. Most of the reporters are impatient half-wits that don't read stickies.

 

Clutter < people not knowing how to report a scammer and ending up infracted by posting on a thread - a drop down wouldnt even be visible until clicked

 

Apart from it being distasteful. It's not something that should be added. It only shows others how much of a scam epidemic we have going on.

 

This works. How often do you add people to your Buddy List, whatever that even is? That's how often you'll find the "report a scammer" tab inconvenient. Also, pretty sure RS itself has right-click reporting these days, so we'd just be following suit.

 

It's not flaunting anything, but it's probably where people would look first if they've been scammed.

 

Agreed newer users often post on all the users threads when they think they've been wronged, they obviously know how to find all that users' threads thus if there were a button there it would lead them to the proper section.

 

Any word on whether this is doable?

 

Just prefill the title and the format that should be used and that would be amazing.

This should definitely be added. Will help people find the proper section and also with some other improvement can help bring our RaS section back up to par.

 

I agree. Most new and non market familiar users will look to ones profile if they've been scammed. Great idea, support.

 

If it's going to be implemented that way, it should say "Report User for Abuse", they should then be transferred to a list of options, each option has it's own thread layout. This would make it more modern.

 

Probably first of all it'll just link to the RaSc section; until something is implemented to do with the OP and then later what you've suggested - I'll get the ball rolling for now anyways

 

I think this would be a great implementation Support. Possibly when clicking the "report a scammer button", it can take it straight to a layout with the link to user's acc already filled out.

 

Yes I've seen this on other forums and I support the idea wholeheartedly. It also helps organize things if every user went by the format and didn't just delete it or tl;dr it.
