Will sythe ever close down?

Are you talking about Sythe or Runescape dropping to 40 users?

 

If this forum doesn't turn into something that isn't primarily based on Runescape, then as soon as old school becomes old then it'll start its course

 

Then why don't make a thread in feedback and do something about it? If you care that is.

A forum based on trading runecape gold requires trading such gold to be profitable. Over time, the profitability has decreased to the point where it is now hardly the opportunity it used to be. Hence, people have been leaving the market. Hence, people have been leaving Sythe. It is unfortunate and sad but inevitable. Unless Sythe expands to more non Runescape related stuff or Runescape somehow becomes incredibly profitable to play again, Sythe will die out.

 

I've actually been telling a lot of people about sythe lately lol. i think it'll do fine as long as the markets do good.

 

I doubt the owner would want to close it and loose out on a bunch of money, i wouldn't

 

I thought Sythe was being sold already.

I think it will probably be around for 5 more years at least. Sythe.org has already been around for around 10 years and in that time, it has been hacked multiple times with one major hacking where most of the site's data was lost.

The present sythe.org is probably much better equipped to deal with hacking than 7 years ago.

 

Eventually, it has to. If certain things don't change, then the end will be sooner rather than later. However, the end, when it does happen, will be very, very slow so I see sythe being around at the minimum for at least 5 more years.

 

All good things will come to an end its just the question of when

Staff will start to resign. New staff members won't be appricated by the community , People start leaving. A big member leaves which takes a lot of others with them etc. Trafic drops, And the admins behind Sythe stop paying for the webhosting. And then in less then a month this website is offline.

Optional senario on how this website would end. So tl;dr yes. Sythe will end someday just don't know when

What you said in the first sentence has happened already so much.

 

Inevitably Sythe will close at some point like any site but we can definitely make the site last longer by adapting to the times and find a new way to market ourselves with Runescape dying.

Instead of trying to look at the negatives of the situation we could look at the positives as we have branched out and have some features that could potentially help us in the future (Sythe Wallet/Chat!) We also have some new sections such as cryptocurrency and others that have grown.
