Stickies/guides to update - open question

I have some time over the next few weeks and could possibly update some guides if there's demand for it (and mods willing to take suggestions for new stickies/guides!) So I guess this is mostly a question for the community, though I guess mod approval wouldn't hurt:

Are there any stickies/areas of the site/aspects of trading on Sythe in general that people think need updating or explaining? Are there things you want to know more about but can't find information about? The first ones that come to my mind are account sales/purchases, but there are probably many others. Input welcome.

 

I would definitely be willing to work on this. There are areas of the site that need improvement.

@Everyone - Let me know if you have something specific and I ma willing to discuss it with you.

A few weeks/months back I made a list of all the stickys, with a similar approach.
It's about 75.000 characters long, so I'll just post it here for you to use as a reference point.

Keep in mind that I've already ran this list through Roary, so probably most things have been fixed.
There could also be a few stickys missing, as they were added after the creation of the list.
Also most of these 'changes' I was proposing might hold no value at all, since it's my opinion (TM).
Do whatever you like with it.

General rule of thumb:
Most topics don't have icons, or have the Rosette Icon.
I think a yellow partyhat for all sticky's looks much, much better.
Maybe do that to all stickys?
I commented this on the first few dozen threads, later started to stop saying it because that was the only comment on most.

I will give the list a look over when I have time. I agree that all of the stickies should have a consistent thread icon. Whether it be the admin Party Hat or another of community choosing.

Super, I am not sure how much you know about the Steam Market or the CSGO market at that... But I feel that there needs to be a serious reform about how we go about verifying items (Knives/High-end Stat Weapons) and thread formatting there. A lot of people are selling numerous CSGO items and each type of item has a different thread. The whole system needs to be overhauled to accommodate for that as well as information on how to get proper price checks on items from the game. I don't have the time to do this, so it would be greatly appreciated if you could look it over.

 

You know I am in teamspeak the majority of the day. Whenever you get a chance, we can discuss this further. I know we chatted briefly about this not to long ago.

 

I would like to have SFA stickies/rules attended too, but by someone who actually uses the forum.

No one gets forum banned as far as I'm concerned. They just delete a post, and it Kees happening, or the rules aren't taken seriously, something. Though you cleaned them up, it's still not fixed. Also, I fell there's too many stickies still, but that doesn't matter too much.

 

They've never been updated because they are mostly Richard's and he has very strong views about the section and no one ever thought it was worth it to try to cut down on the number.

 

An infraction usually wards people off. It's not individuals repeating offences, it's different people. Plus it's been a bit more lenient lately because the section needs activity. Nobody will remove Richard's stickied debates bar himself.

 

But they do it 5 times before they get an infraction.

 

If someone early bumps 5 times in a row without getting infracted/without being aware they get one infraction - same dealio.

 

Is it worth making a thread somewhere asking people, primarily newcomers, some of the things they still don't understand about Sythe so we can make them more clear in a guide re-write? Or is that this thread?
