Best way to gain trust/vouches

Some people goldfarm and sell money, some people do free skilling/services, some people buy sell accounts.

I want to hear from preferably experienced users how they started in sythe. What do you guys think is the fastest way to gain trust? I have some time, but I'd rather not invest personal money

 

The number of vouches you have means nothing. It's the quality that matters. If you want to gain trust, involve yourself in significant trades.

 

You can also involve yourself in the community, discussions, events. You can offer free services, like middle-man. Theres a number of ways, although in the beginning it is tough.

 

Be community involved, market involved, and active. Remember that quality>quantity. In time if you're here for the long haul to remain legitimate, trust and reputability will come on it's own. If if you aren't involved in the market. People just need time to judge your character.

 

why do u want to gain trust so fast?

 

Usually ppl offer free services to get themselves going. Quality is always greater than the quantity. Just be active in the community and it will come over time

 

You're gonna facepalm so hard when I tell you the secret if garnering vouches and becoming reputable. Disregard everything you ever knew and gasp in amazement when I tell you that the secret of trust is.. being trustworthy for quite a period of time! Yeahhhh!

Right. Theres a difference between being trustworthy and showing people you are trustworthy. The latter is what I'm trying to get at. Someone mentioned MMing, but no1 would allow you to MM if you're just starting, etc. Also, obviously quantity>quality. However, I doubt that anyone's first batch of vouches were of significant quality.

Free services are the way to go to be honest.

That is how I started here on Sythe. I would say start free and you can always charge later. It is actually Quality>Quantity. Remember that and you will be golden.

 

I suggest do free services off people , You'll gain more trust and be active as well as help people!

OT: Free/cheap services are fine, but you're going to get beaten out my competition unless you're able to corner a niche market. Surprisingly, a LOT of people use new, free middlemen. Doesn't hurt to put up a thread and become known as a decent MM. Other than that, yeah, don't whore vouches. People talk, and if we see you gaining 15 vouches a day for nonsense trades, we're going to trust you less than were you to have none at all. Also donating doesn't hurt.

Also, don't dice immediately (and with paypal) if you're intending to stay for the long haul. It's so sketchy when newcomers donate $50 and then start wanting to dice large amounts...

 

A month or so ago I joined Sythe because I was interested in a new account. Throughout the past few weeks I've been browsing the site and thought that there are some great opportunities here. I'm not going to gain trust fast nor do I have the time to skill for other people for 24/7 to gain trust---I know that. But the point was I was wondering how the vets started. Its easy to gain trust if you got trust, but no1 ever tells you how to begin.

 

Are there really lots of people using free/new MM? I just took a glance at that section and the front page is almost entirely filled with people with 50+ vouches/SVUs/mods/high donors who offer it for free. What incentive to people have to use someone new lol

 

I feel like one should not be seeking trust nor vouches but let it be a bi-product of your continous job trying to provide a stellar service/product.

People use whoever's available and MMing trades they need MMed. If you MM ss/ikov trades, you will get double the business of people who only do RS trades. If you add in LoL, add 20% more. If you think about donating, that may help; realistically, the donor rank will get you more deals than it costs. Otherwise, just post in lots of places about things you care about to get involved in the community (n.b., spouting random posts everywhere doesn't help with this).
