Trading Rooms!

I have an idea of sythe making rooms with a mm in each of them they would be private rooms and an mm would invite the 2 traders in once they posted on the mm's fourm post. Each of the rooms would have an online,away and offline light. This is to reduce skype imposters this will aswell log the whole chat and there would be a database where admins can see them.

There is option to make group convos on Skype and on Sythechat
2nd thing is almost noone uses sythechat

 

so you mean a skype convo? this is already possible with a third party service, skype, msn, etc. no point making one here on sythe. for the same reason there is no IM engine. if you really want a sythe based room use the sythe chat and make a room like that.

Middlemen aren't necessary for a trade, it's an option, so this suggestion is needless.

If you want to stop impostors of any kind, you must tackle the root that allows them to branch out. All I see is this putting too much pressure on the sites server.

Why wouldn't there be open rooms for anyone? Before you edited your original post, you stated that it would be easier for middle men to complete trades.

 

We already have sythechat, you log in with your sythe account.

Why would we need a forum when we already have an instant messenger that you log into with your sythe account.

The idea isn't a bad one, don't get that wrong. However, the Sythe chat would be a more viable option. What is the point of putting more pressure on the sites server? If this was even thought of being made, it wouldn't be on the sites index.

Why should we have two site instant messengers when the first one isn't being used as it should be? I don't think users know how useful it could be.

 

I'll be the first to opt out of these annoying notifications if anything like this ever got put through.

nah why? You just add the mm on skype and done.

Yeah, you can just create your own sythechat rooms. I would support since you gave me my own room D <3) but it just sounds like a pain in the ass for everyone involved. If you know how what to look for in a confirmation pm, you should be fine avoiding impostors.

 

No support.
- Hard for new users to get used to
- Doesn't do anything better than skype or sythechat does.
- IM > pm-like system. No way anybody is going to keep up with that.

Just request proper pm's and actually read them and you're golden.

 

It's been an idea for years but its never been done and won't ever be done in any good way.

 

Denied, there's Sythe chat and it's basically the same idea, just not called a "trading room."
