    Would implementing the old Skype status icon not do this just the same?

    Users can see when you're online/offline/away/busy on Skype without all the rigmarole of implementing a new system. IIRC it was taken down because the image was glitching but I assume that'd be fixed by now.

    Yea it would be a start but its not as much visible and some dont use Skype to do business (Livechat, ...). But its alot better than nothing tbh.

    One would assume if you're online on Skype you're online elsewhere, though

    Well idk tbh. It isnt much visible to others and i think they will still look at the offline status before seeing the skype status

    Skype status buttons were stopped by Skype in the form Sythe used when Live:'s were implemented so Live: skypes don't work and cause the image to glitch. So that's a no go.

    Brought the user online thing up with Matthew and it has been denied.
