Man throws away $9Million in bitcoins

I'm calling bs. I think this guy could be a very smart con artist, who is trying to rally up the price of bit coins by claiming he lost 9m worth of it, gone forever. He probably just threw out a blank drive, and hid his 9m worth somewhere.

edit: nobody randomly cleans their house and doesn't realize they threw 9m out the window. This does not add up and I hope nobody believes that.

I guess it was a lesson learned for him. Bitcoin is serious matter that once you started mining it, you better keep it. He could’ve been one of the bitcoin millionaires by now.

 

I saw this on the news over here... poor guy eh life could be worse he could be dead! At least he has his life to live for

You have to be careful with things like this. There are people on sites selling hard drives with a certain about of Bitcoin on them, they claim. When in all reality it's just a completely fried non repairable hard drive that had nothing on it in the first place.

 

Well that sucks, 9 million down the drain.

To be fair people like this are the reason why BTC managed to go so high - the actual supply is WAY lower than suggested.
