What graphics card can I crossfire with my current one?

So the card I have currently is a XFX 7850R 2GB Double D. On the orange railing at the top of the card it says "XFX R7800 Series" further across it says "Ghost Thermal Technology". I can't seem to find the card anywere only a ton of other versions like the standard 7850R 2GB. I want to crossfire this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150609 , but it doesn't seem the exact same because it says R7850 on the top instead of R7800 Series. Could I use that card to crossfire with mine?

The card has to be the same model and that's it. It can be a different brand or have different techs tacked on, but the model itself has to be the same.

 

Well the link is the one you wish to crossfire your current card with. The 7800 series includes everything from 7800-7890 so both cards are Infact 7850's and would therefore work together.

 

This is all true. I was just going to help you look for the exact same card that you own. Also if the specs of your current card are lower than the one you are going to buy don't get it. As the stronger card will be bottlenecked to the same specs as the lower one.

 

It seems very close, but I can't tell which card would be better. I didn't buy it yet and I do have one very similar other than the orange rail on top of those cards saying something different.

 

Any 7850 or 7870 will work. Crossfire allows you to tether with any card in the same series, so in this case the 7800 series.

If I were you I would just save up and buy a better card to replace the 7850.
