Overhaul of staff/donor ranks

Just a thought here, haven't brought it up with any of the other staff. I'm simply looking to see what people think of the idea.

Everyone knows RS is on a steady decline. This is nothing new.

I was wondering what people thought of an across the board overhaul of the staff/donor ranks to phase out the RS icons with something a bit more broad.

I can't make any promises as to whether this will go through as the idea would have to go through Sythe and Matthew, but I am interested on some feedback and possibly some example images if any artists are up to it. Worst case scenario, the idea gets shot down.

Thoughts?

 

Personally think you should keep them.. it was the origins of the website really..and still is the main thing people come to this site for?

 

I would support this, even if there was the option of RS OR another image for images/ranks.

greater variety and separation from RS can only be a good thing, no point in clinging onto the Titanic as she goes down?

Seems to be pretty overwhelming stance to keep them so far. Personally I'm indifferent to them, was simply an idea I thought I'd bring forward.

I think they're okay as they are, though it wouldn't hurt to see what changes people have to suggest for them.

 

Would like to see them stay the way they are.

 

I like the idea of steering away from RuneScape, but I think everyone, myself included, have just got accustomed to them. They're not bad by any means, and it was the origins of the site so I think we should keep them.

 

Hate to sound resistant to change, but I really like the staff icons the way that they are.

Indifferent to whether the ranks change. The donor ranks changing away from Runescape related items would be an interesting change though and it wouldn't hurt to see some examples of what it could possibly be.

 

People will always be hesitant in accepting/allowing for change. I personally think an overhaul of ranks would be good. If many are against said change, leave the staff ranks as they currently are, and opt to change donor perks for under $300 donors relevant to other games and or a combination option of a few games.

I.e, LoL related, WoW related, Music, Media, whatever.

 

Support for the way they are because Sythe.org is always going to be Runescape related in my mind. Especially with the whole runescape 3 release the company has a few more years left. If people want a different rank they can simply donate more money and get what they want, or at least I think that is still how it works!

 

I like the idea of having the ability to choose what ranks and, games i want to represent. Make chooses for all of our online games and sythe itself, Some members are here for the community itself. As for staff overhaul im fine with w/e happens either way

 

I agree with the idea. Rs was definitely a thing of my past, but I have no future and don't see much of a future for it. Though, I personally can't think of any ideas to over-take it.

 

Until another market becomes more popular on the site than Runescape, I would leave them the way they are.
