SytheChat BETA Released

I have no idea what I'm doing since the original chat won't work, I went to http://xmpp.org/xmpp-software/clients/ and downloaded one and now it's asking me to do this

 

Sythe, I like the chat but... As you can login normally with a username and password where does the two step authentication system take its part in this? Has this been implemented yet? If not, will it be?

Would you be able to choose a seperate password for the Sythe chat and your own Sythe account? If so you could add a feature where everybody gets a randomly generated password which cannot be obtained easily, say you can only get the password via sms to your mobile that would make the accounts themselves a lot more secure I guess..

I've seen VB plugins before which allow only the real owner login which is based around the owners ip range so even if worst case scenario somebody did get a hold of my password it wouldn't let them in.

Or maybe even a system that it checks your HWID, because I'm guessing that everybody here used maybe 1 laptop and or a computer, so basically hackers cannot get in.

Hmm, this does not work for me. it just says authentication failed...

 

When I try to /pm username message, nothing happens.

EDIT: I guess the sender can't see his message that he PM's to the other person. One thing that would be a neat feature is if we can just press "/" which will automatically types in /pm "user that you last msged".

Just a question, who can see the chatlogs on here? Just wondering for trading purposes, it's safer than any form of IM, as it's virtually a Sythe PM, but other than that, it's also going to be a pain if all staff can see it. Is it just the highest-clearance admins who can view it, as there could be a massive scam pulled off by a moderator who just kept getting account details from chatlogs and recovering for their own personal gain. Thanks.

 

I would like to suggest that when you send someone a pm on sythe chat that you be able to read the message you sent them.

 

So while making my own chat, after saving the configuration setting and getting it unlocked I tried to invite stopsign - error has occurred, user is invalid. Tried then with superman and it also doesn't work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I do not think so.
