x339 Requesting a Pardon

Hey Everyone,

It's been a while!

Earlier this year I was banned for the whole Finn ebook fiasco. I explained it all when I was initially banned, but I figured we could do a quick little recap for the sake of this pardon.

When Finn was banned he offered to give me some "insider information" about supposedly corrupt things that were happening on Sythe. Since I was in the midst of my "save sythe" tyrade, I bought in to it. I got the information from him, and then he suggested I sell it in ebook form like he had done in the past. At first I wasn't really interested in doing that, but I was broke as hell and figured why not. So I tried out that idea, and Richard was quick to shoot it down. I dropped it from there and figured I'd never deal with it again.

Then came Finn's inevitable betrayal and he told n4n0 about what I had done. I saw it coming and wasn't super surprised when I finally got hit with the ban hammer.

To be honest it was such an immature thing to do. I still cringe looking back on the whole situation. Why I ever thought any of it was a good idea is beyond me.

Since then a lot has changed for me. I'm in college now, I work when I'm not in school, and I've become addicted to working out. I don't really do anymore PC gaming or anything, but I've always missed the social aspect of sythe. It'd be nice to be able to pop in once in a while to post in the spam forum or take place in some discussions. I'm not here to do anymore of that "save sythe" crap, and I'm not here to trade anything. I'd just like to come back to be able to post and discuss with the community once again.

TTB told me that you're planning to pay him back $20/week starting from December 19th. I think you should pay that whole debt off and then come back and pardon. I'm a little disappointed it took you so long to take the initiative to pay off a debt, especially since it was a topic of dispute in your last pardon. Get on the ball man.

Hey everyone,

Just had the chance to talk to TTB. Right now I have to pay a tuition bill, pay my speeding ticket, and finish off my christmas shopping, but by the 19th of this month (payday) I'll be back in the positive with money. On that day I'll start making payments to TTB to pay off the money I owe him. We already came up with the rate of payment and such so we are all squared away with that.

I'd like to request that I be unbanned based on the grounds that I continue to make payments to him. If at any point I cease to make the payment on time or anything you can ban me right away-- although I do fully intend to pay back the amount owed.

I have never scammed anyone on sythe and I haven't vaded this ban or anything. Although some people didn't like me, I put a lot of effort into making sythe a better place and all of the crazy stuff I did in the past was always just to try and help out sythe. You may not have agreed with my methods, but the fact is I still put in a lot of effort to improve things around here. Some examples would be the CDT and the effort I made to improve the non-runescape related gaming areas of the site. You can also look at the FAQ which I wrote many of the answers for.

I've changed a lot since my sythe days, and although it sounds a bit cliche, I have matured. If you let me back you won't have to worry about me making anymore of those crazy feedback threads or any raging when I disagree with something. Like I said before I'm not really here to do any of that stuff; I'm not even really here to trade. I'd just like to be able to come back and post here and there. You won't have to worry about me starting any trouble.

Now that repayment is sorted I trust you will continue. Also,

I agree with the other. Continue on the repayment path and you have my support.

 

You should show the will to pay it back even if your pardon is denied, and the only way to prove that is to pay it back before you are even considered for an unban.

Normally I'd just support someone (if I feel they are deserving) when they have a payment plan set up, however you've not made an attempt at all until wanting to be pardoned. Its been long enough, pay it back and then MAYBE I'll consider supporting.

I'd like to also request that other staff members give their decision a second thought based on what I've said.

 

I dont want him unbanned in any way shape or form until everyone has been paid back fully

 

Try again in 6 months - have it paid by then as well I'd suggest.
