    I'm hoping that in the future this becomes a downloadable application. When I minimize it, it gets lost in a sea of other chrome windows/tabs.


    I can't see it surviving any other way, it'll be as dead as the irc unless it happens.

    Any XMPP client can connect to chat.sythe.org. We use a stock standard openfire server. You don't need to write your own.

    This just makes it easier, I tried two different clients(trillian and psi(?)) and couldn't figure out how to connect to a xmpp server in either. Other people have also posted asking for a standalone Sythe client, it was fun to make it anyway :).

    Well, an exact replica would be ideal. I want the exact look and functionality of the web version just in a downloadable application so it doesn't get buried in chrome tabs / so new users just have a one click download and don't have to consider the different options. Whatever you make iJava I'd probably use.

    Sythe I know you can download a third party application, but I really think if we built our own already set to connect and with features specific to our website it would be better. Looks like others are even willing..
