Which country do you want to live in the future?

Would love to move to America for a few years

 

Quite comfortable in america but id love to visit Australia in the future.

 

Currently living in austria, thinking on moving to switzerland when I get older

 

Have you been to Japan and lived it before? I was there for an extended period of time and I found personally as a foreigner there is a lot more to dislike about their culture than may meet the eye (coming from a former overt japanophile)

Don't get me wrong, places like Tokyo are amazing, but like any other place in the world Japan isn't wonderland, so if you haven't tried living there keep an open mind about other places.

Edit: It occurs to me you're rather jaded and overdramatising a bit. Japan is a capitalist nation too and I found that they're MORE materialistic than westerners. You should focus on building yourself up the societal ladder where you can before making such conclusions. Those that have the will and the mind often find ways to rise up.

I'm pretty tired of Atlanta and just the south in general. I would love to move to Colorado if I were to stay in the U.S. West Canada and somewhere in Australia would be awesome too. I would love to live in another country for at least a year and not having to learn another language would certainly be easier.

Lol oh man, that's funny. If you think working in America is bad, then you're in for a big surprise living in Japan. Do you know there is actually a word in Japan for actually working yourself to death? It's known as karoshi, which translates to "death from overwork". I've watched multiple documentaries on it and it's a a serious national social-issue there. Japan also has one of the highest suicide rates along with being extremely overpopulated. I'm not saying the U.S. doesn't have its problems, but I've heard Japan is not a good place to live. Yeah I definitely think it'd be cool to visit, but I definitely wouldn't want to settle down there.

 

Living in Canada right now, but i have this odd urge to want to live in Sweden for some reason..

 

Miami is where i want to live in the future but if i had to pick an country to move to other than America i would go with Ireland for sure.

 

Honestly I feel that Canada is one of, if not the best country to live in at the moment. It's so large and so diverse that I can't really picture myself living outside of the country, but definitely moving around inside it. Half my family is from Quebec and I'm fluent in French so I'd love to experience the other side of my heritage for a while if I can.

Not to say that I don't want to try other countries and visit, but I see myself locked to home, which for me is Canada. Countries I'd like to visit (likely for long periods of time, but not to live) are basically all the Scandinavian countries and maybe France/Belgium.

I've been to Switzerland, France, and Italy, and out of all 3 Switzerland seems to be the most appealing. Every nook and cranny of that country is gorgeous.

 

Too bad our internet and cellphone service sucks and having to pay big bucks for shitty speeds.. :'(

I am very content in the United States of America but I wouldn't mind moving states. Indiana on a farm or Michigan would be nice. If nether of those were to work out I'd look around the California area.

Japan has a beautiful countryside (or what's left of it) and awesome cities, but unless you're an expat earning a pittance on English teaching there's nothing for you there but to be treated as an outsider. I got to see all of this stuff first hand as I lived there for a year, and it was shocking to say the least.

 

I can agree with you on the cellphones, but for the internet there are ways to get good speeds at low prices. You just have to go with the smaller reseller companies such as Acanac (the one I have) or Teksavvy. I pay $35/mo for unlimited bandwidth and speeds that range from 18mbs at peak and 35mbs in off hours. Upload is consistently 1mbs, but I don't need high upload so I don't really care.

 

I've lived in plenty of countries outside of the USA, i.e., Denmark, UK, Germany & Netherlands. But, if I had to make a final choice today, it would be Australia. I have a shit ton of friends there, one of my best friends lives in Perth & he's been wanting me to move out there for years. Ofc, N4N0 will have to come as well. Haha! So, for now I would say Ausieland for sure.

Funny, lots of Canada in here. I would love to live in Canada, Germany or Russia. Hate the heat (currently in Florida).

 

Canada sounds like it would be a great place to retire in. Friendly & what-not.
