Requesting a pardon?

Hey firstly I want to start off by apologizing, I created an account just 5 minutes ago to put in some form of appeal in but I could not find the thread anywhere until I created it and here I am. The account I just created is
"old reddogwwa"

Alright on to the good stuff, I am requesting an appeal for reddogwwa. I also apologize for my lack of memory in certain aspects of this appeal it has been quite some time!

Why I was banned:
Back in 2008 I middle-manned a trade, I dont remember the specifics of the trade but I do remember it was rs gold for real life cash. I have MM'ed trades in the past so this part of it was not new to me. This little twist however was. I had a buddy....a real life friend who was also a member on this forum who was looking to sell his gold to another member who wanted to use an MM.

I wouldn't say I was a "well" respected member like r2p or anything, but I was definitely known. My buddy suggested to this other member that "reddogwwa" (me) MM'ed the trade for them. The other member looked me up, did his thing and made sure he was okay with me doing it...he was. However he had no idea that I was friends in real life with the other member he was trading with. Which I must agree if we had ill intentions it would have been incredibly easy to skate with both the USD and RSGP.

But the trade off without a hitch, both parties were happy with how it went and the other member knew none the better...as we kept it.

This was the only trade I did for my real life friend, if I remember correctly my real life friend was apprehensive about actual "Middle-Men" with the whole "Mage Pker" debacle. There were others but he is the only one I remember because I traded with him a couple times; I got lucky and it went smooth.

I'm still a little fuzzy on the specifics on my ban because I joined the Army a little bit after and just did not have the time to really dive into it. But I did keep in touch with my friend and he told me they believed the two accounts (reddogwwa, and his) were actually 1 person because of the IP addresses logged in. Thats a simple one, he was a real life friend...I'd go over his house chill out, log into sythe on my account and vise-versa.

I am guilty of deceit since the other member had no idea we were real life buddies....but in my defense the trade went smooth and I did the right thing by him regardless. I am however not guilty of being the same person on both of those accounts!

By the time of the ban, I was rarely in any of the RS threads anyway...I mainly roamed around the spam forum and general discussion!


Now you're probably wondering why I want back after all of these years. Well I got out of the Army 13May2012, chilled out for a bit went to school on the GI bill...and for the past 8 months or so landed a Job installing and configuring servers/computers and all of that jazz. Since I'm always on the computer typing away, or most of the time staring at a screen waiting for a tech to remote in and do their part...sometimes way longer than I would like. I'd like back in to kill some time, and be apart of it again!

I liked sythe, I honestly enjoyed browsing through the threads looking for an intelligent argument and such!

Self vouching is no longer a permanent-level ban offense and I'm in favor of simply unbanning this user without going through the pardon process. Thoughts?

 

Superman, an unban + TWC was the norm for users who were on that list that Giv gave us a while back.
