RWT Ban [Oldschool]

So today for the first time in 6 years of playing RS, I found out that my lvl 34 account got permanently banned for RWT. Had close to 45m on the account...



Is it even worth trying to appeal? What are the chances of the ban getting lifted anytime soon?

 

I don't see how appealing can hurt. If you don't appeal, you can't get your account back. Chances are slim to none.

 

The appeal won't be read but it can't hurt.

 

yep, I appealed 2 of my RWT bans on veteran accs created on my own IP and none is reviewed after few months+
One bug abusing ban is stuck in pending since January 2013

 

Out of the 20 account we now have banned I haven't appealed any. Clearly Jagex has fair reason to believe I was RWT (which I was) so I doubt they'd go back on their verdict.

 

If you were actually RWT'ing on the account, then no, don't waste your time. I don't think they've ever turned over a ban that is justified.

 

Appealed a ban once and it wasn't even looked at for a full year. Sending an email got me it back though. Probably wouldn't work for you though because my ban wasn't rwt related.

sorry to jump on this thread but i have this same problem.

jagex on runescape.wiki states they will not be reviewing any bans for permnantly banned accounts however they also state that they wont let anyone be penalised if they werent in control of their account.

I had my account hacked by a goldfarming site during an attempt to buy powerlevelling and they used it to advertise/farm. when i recovered it was permnantly banned but i cant appeal :s

 

The only way to successfully appeal is to claim your account was hijacked. Mess around a bit with your IP and it can work (although highly unlikely).

 

my account was banned while getting powerlevelling from a guy in another country... so could work?

 

Worked for me. Manual perm ban for botting quashed, emailed Jagex claiming to have been hacked x)

. Send an email to jagex they often look at changes of IPs. I'm not sure on the exact email address I sent it too but if it hasn't been posted by the time I get home I'll look for you.
