Software for changing documents from Microsoft Office to PDF?

I need a software to change files from Microsoft Office formats (Power Point, Excel, Word) to PDF/A (this is supposed to be a newer version and Adobe Acrobat doesnt support this). I have to do this with around 1,000 files. If you know a software that does this (must be PDF/A), please let me know here.

 

Just download OpenOffice, it's free (www.openoffice.org) then open your files in it and click the "to pdf" button in the toolbar at the top.

 

You can save as a pdf from any of those microsoft programs you want to use. Just click save as pdf.

 

With 1k files? That'd be fun...

 

Storage space isn't as much of a problem these days. Microsoft Office isn't particularly huge.

I would NOT get openoffice, since there will most likely be a ton of formatting issues. Your best bet would be to get the latest version of Office, perhaps a trial or a student version of some sort, or a pirated copy, and save all your files (if you have a batch, just get the trial and save all of your files at once).

 

It's not about the storage, it's about the time it would take.

 

Time it would take doing what? o.o Are you processing a bulk amount of word documents? I'm sure there's a way you can automate it yourself =p.

 

Seeing as there are a few paid softwares for this, I don't think there's a way for me to do it on my own.
