First the only rules for the Potamus thread were to roll the persons pc who posts below you. I rolled a 1 and won that. Okay, I'll admit winning that was a little bit troll-ey.


Okay, fine. So you edit the OP that the persons post count has to be above 20. So I start rolling again and win with someone with 65 post count, and this time when I PM you call me a cheater and give me extreme homosex. It took me over a half hour to do this and the way that I won was within your rules.


I've won it twice, what's the deal?

I'd play it again with your *third* set of rules but I'm really not too sure you'd give it out even if I won *again*

Also, Darkie I think it is because of the fact that you / whoever had cheated previously and had therefore been disqualified from the competition. I wouldn't want to reward you for attempting to go around what I intended a thread to be for, although the 65 post one sounds pretty decent.

I actually played through the first few with Squirtle and fell in love with him until I met Charmander

So the big thing that went on was there were no rules other than role the person below's post count. That was it. There was no post count threshold of any sort. That being said once a few members won very troll like, Sythe did not reward them with the minirank and changed the rules to a 20 post count threshold. The process was repeated and members won again. Sythe then again changed the rules to what they are.

The issue that Dark is bringing up is that no one ever broke any rules. At the time of even the rolls where you won out of 1, nothing was done illegitimately. There was no rule that you could not win with a 1 person post count. Once the post count threshold was enforced, Dark won "again" yet was still not given a mini rank because he cheated.

The issue is there was never any cheating. No one ever broke any rules because there were no rules present to even break.

Basically Sythe is saying that people cheated on something that at the time there was nothing to cheat on.

For example:

If the task was to climb a tree and win $100. There were no specific rules other than it needed to be a tree. Dark could climb a 2 foot tree and 10 foot tree or a 10000 ft tree. They would all accomplish the same thing, climbing a tree.

For the dice game. The rules were to roll the person's post count below your roll. Dark accomplished this in the easiest way possible. He decided to "climb a 2 ft tree rather than a 10000 ft tree."

So I ask the question:

"What did Dark do that broke the rules and warrants him from receiving a minirank?"

I didn't cheat. There was no account interaction and there weren't any rules posted except "roll the persons post count below you." I did that with a 1 and won. Sythe decided that was too cheesy and decided not to give me the minirank, okay fair enough. At that point he changed the rules to say that it had to be someone with a post count of above 20. At no point did he say that I was disqualified at this point or anything like it.


I respected his decision and noted the rule change and decided to play again. This time I spent a half an hour+ rolling out of 65 until I finally won it(he only required the person to have 20 post count) and sent him a private message. Then the next time I check the thread he posts that I've somehow "cheated" and gives me an extreme homosex minirank without giving me the minirank that I won. I'm just trying to figure out what the deal is, or how I "cheated."


If it had been any other user on the forums Richard would have made them follow through with what they promised.

The thread said that you had to roll the persons post count below you. There weren't any further rules, such as you aren't allowed to go at it with a friend. If I was intentionally "cheating" I wouldn't have done it on the owner of the websites thread, as well as personally private message you saying that I had won. The fact that you accused me of being a cheater, disqualified me from the thread(without saying so), and gave me an "extreme homosex" rank seems a little over the top.

Fair enough, rolling out of one was too easy, But after that I legitimately won it.

If your answer is that I was disqualified fair enough, I won't press the issue. But really, you're going to out me as a "cheater" and disqualify me without telling me because I didn't play your game exactly as you intended it? Seems a little bogus
