Due to this well of goodwill moneysink?

I doubt it. The economy is past redemption. It's hyper-inflated to a point of no return.

 

As sellerman says, i think its extremely unlikely however its possible.

 

Maybe slightly, but probably not more than a cent or two (which is pretty negligible and could easily just be a market fluctuation as we saw around the time bonds came out).

 

very very very slim, the donation amounts will get slower and slower as the update gets older.

 

I think they should do something drastic like manually reducing all the money in the game to 10% levels. It doesn't really matter all that much as long as they give ample notice

If everyone loses 10% of their wealth, threshold and purchasing power is still the same as before, as it's only been reduced by an overall ratio. It's not the amount of money that's the issue, it's the overwhelming amounts of GP that users have in comparison to others; which creates a tangible rift. That's only one issue, there are many many more.

 

I hope the currency rises, I have a bunch just collecting dust

 

Not going to happen unless it's on speculation alone. 95B is nothing; there are trillions upon trillions of GP in the game.

 

I think its completely possible. 95B isn't much at all whenever you consider that Jagex said over 1T gold is RWT'd a day.

Less gold in the game won't really affect prices since there is more than enough gold in the game for the current demand for it. The only thing that will increase prices at this point is more players, which will result in higher demand for gold.

 

yeah basically what Busta said. Although I do think less supply and more demand would also increase prices the bigger factor would be the amount of people playing the game. If Jagex ever allowed stuff like dicing again then prices would rise too.

Doubt it. Eoc pretty much killed off 60-70% of players to go to 07 or quit lol.

 

This would have to be an ongoing event to actually raise the price of gold. There is still too much gold in game to have an effect. There is still hope though.

Wow this is the stupidest thing jagex have done?? I mean why would ANYONE just dump there gp lmao? Is there some sort of highscores for the person who dumped the most etc??

 

No money sink can fix the price of gp lol.
