    Paypal Question. Please Answer. [SERIOUS]

Paypal doesn't cover for virtual goods, so yes you are safe if he decides to claim saying that he didn't authorize the transaction.

But what if he says he never received the goods? Or the goods don't match the description, you are going to have a hard time proving delivery lol.

    Paypal Question. Please Answer. [SERIOUS]

It was a "gift" for helping him.

Basically he "gift" me the money and the note states "Thank you so much for your help! Here's a little gift :)" I have an email from him stating "Check your paypal! Thank you so much for your services"

    Paypal Question. Please Answer. [SERIOUS]

First things first, if the payment was funded by his credit card, the payment method (goods/services, gift, payment owed, etc.) means absolutely nothing. If he calls his CC company and tells them to chargeback paypal is not going to go "oh well the note says it was legit". Paypal could care less what a note says. In the case of fraud, it isn't hard for a fraudster to fake a note, and paypal knows that.

Probably. There is a tradeoff between being cautious and making sales. Being as cautious as you are, chances are you are scaring off even legit customers. Personally I wouldn't give you close to what kind of information you are asking for.

Asking for this information is nothing more than a scare tactic. The police will not follow up on petty virtual sale related thefts. Most people that provide as much information that you are asking for are most likely not scammers though otherwise they would get scared that you will harass them irl when they scam you.

As I stated above, the payment method is irrelevant if the payment was credit card funded.

If it is a chargeback your chances would be very slim regardless of a previous dispute or not.

Quick question. How does a dispute work if it's a cc chargeback?

    Paypal Question. Please Answer. [SERIOUS]

The money will be taken off your paypal account. Sometimes Paypal try to recover it but 99.99% of the times the CC company reject it.

Yes. There's always the chance that someone will charge back a payment, but you can mitigate that risk by trading with people with several vouches (i.e., those to whom it wouldn't be worth it to scam you... or those people who are just trustworthy :p). I think Paypal has a 45-day window in which chargebacks are allowed, but that information may be out of date.

That is probably the time someone has to file a dispute on paypal, however I believe the timeframe to file a chargeback with your CC company is much longer.

Honestly, at the end of the day you've done all you possibly could have.

In a case of the customer opening a dispute, unfortunately you would always lose in this scenario UNLESS you send him a box on signed delivery (in this scenario it would be beneficial to do this) this way if he says parcel hasn't been delivered you will always win the case. Although, because he sent as a gift I'm pretty sure you're not able to do this.

Well.. I'll just refund the money I suppose and get my product back (he agreed to it). I kinda don't want to take risk on amount of $100+. My last question, what is the safest way to transfer money? Top 3 please.

If you're looking for PayPal money and you're a U.S. citizen (have a SSN) with a U.S. buyer, get your buyer to use MoneyPak. They're paid for in cash and completely non-refundable, so once you've redeemed it into your PayPal you're in the clear.

Anything non-reversible is equally as safe. Western Union is a good choice worldwide.

Is this in regards to your dispute against Aceboost? I saw your feedback on their thread earlier today.

Aceboost is a joke. They hire anyone that basically lies because they want that money. If Aceboost made a market thread on sythe then they would easily get banned and it's not about them. they're just a company that lies to get money (Any high level player can boost account, they just need customers so they cheat the system)
And thank you. I'll look into Moneypak.

I can pretty much guarantee you that wasn't the real Alishan. You couldn't really "sue him" anyway because Skype logs, etc., aren't solid evidence in a court of law.

Moderators and admins on the forum ban scammers, so feel free to report the guy who scammed you - but it was almost definitely an impostor, not the real Alishan.
