Minirank Game

Adding to my other point. Only the automated ranks are to increase activity, the participation ones. Which are untradable. The rest are either fun, holiday or momentary ranks which are earned. These ranks that are earned and are no longer given making it more valuable like rares on runescape. Hence the market for these. I'm not opposing this idea, I just think it's too late to implement.

I'll support this. I'd love to see a way of gaining miniranks through more participation.

 

I have to add something more to my opinion. I don`t like that you suggest this after you`ve sold me 3 miniranks worth $50

And there are already participant minirank which you get after posting an x amount of times.

I don't really like the idea and personally I think that things such as the search function should be re-enabled prior to things like this even considered.

I do like the idea, but I have to say that there are definitely much higher-priority updates I'd like to see implemented first.

 

@ Moes I didn't think of the idea until today which is why I posted it. Has nothing to do with a direct target on you. You could have chosen not to buy them. @ Jack I do agree there are other things that could be fixed but I just thought this would be a fun little add on and might help boost some activity.

 

I actually think this is a great idea, there could be a mini rank for being a sythe.org addict and viewing say 100 different threads in one week, not sure if this could be implanted but it would be a good idea.

Or as Elena said, just a simple "random chance" 1/100 of receiving a new mini just from viewing threads and this mini rank would be a week thing, meaning to gain it back next week you'd need to view more threads.

 

Or even posting on them as long as it isn't infracted for spam it being a valid post. If you're infracted it would take away from it obviously.

 

I support this idea and if to much annoyance is to come of it, why not make a new minirank that is only found by this idea.

I like the idea a lot. I really dislike that a market has evolved around trading miniranks, it's kind of ridiculous. They're meant to be for fun, and unless you pay a boat load, you can't get them. With this suggestion, they'll turn into third age items instead of partyhats. Expensive, but still obtainable but all.

 

I'm all for this idea. Anyone looking to make "money" from mini rank sales needs to stop fooling themselves. Sure it makes some side cash here and there but overall what the community needs is more reason to participate in forum-related events and a minigame like this would benefit the site overall. Mini ranks were founded on the idea that they were supposed to be a little injection of fun. No other gaming community has what Sythe does. I'm eager to see what you come up with Elena. You have my support.

 

Its a good idea, and personally I feel that if more members ended up with mini ranks it would fuel the desire to get more. If I don't have something I'm more likely to ignore it, but if I have at least 1 of something I'm more compelled to go after more.

Nailed on the head. I know that Minirank trading was added, but this was it's original intentions.

We shouldn't nerf the worth of others though. I don't see a real middle ground though.
