Posting on behalf of banned members

There is other content in the official rules that are "common sense" such as trying to sell something that is free, ignoring staff decisions, and trying to sell your sythe account, so that shouldn't really be used as an excuse in my opinion.

I'm just puzzled as to how I (unintentionally) circumvented staff decisions when there hasn't even been an official one made on this issue as yet. The punishments I received for doing this were a little harsh, but like I said earlier it's not really a big deal - I'm not here to complain about them. But thanks for the clarification on this. Lesson learnt and it will not happen again in the future.

 

You circumvented the staffs decision to ban the user by being proxy for his post, regardless of the section you posted it in.

 

I love how staff started making up random rules now that they're bored.

Can everybody just stop fucking argueing about this? It's clearly unclear and that's why Heads unknowingly broke the "rule". Just add a line into the rules, it's not that hard..

 

In your case, it was harmless.

If the rule was implemented that didn't allow you to do so, then you're at fault. It's not written in the rules though, so a warning should've been given tbh.

The user is banned. They have NO rights on this forum. There should be NO ONE posting on their behalf unless it pertains to a dispute or report that they have vital information about. What's the point of banning someone if we're going to just sit here and let people post on their behalf?

Please, someone, anyone, explain to me why someone should be allowed to proxy posts for a user who has been removed from the community via a ban? Tell me how that makes any sense, at all. If we wanted to see their posts or hear what they have to say, they would not be banned in the first place.

That's not the point of this thread. I'll refer to the first post I made.

THIS IS SIMPLY ABOUT ADDING A RULE.

If a law is not written, then you can't go to jail for it.

Literally, in the time it took you to write that post, you could have made the rule official 5 times over. That's all he's asking. Not disputing his ban or anything. Just add a rule to make it 100% CLEAR.

 

Apparently common sense is too much to ask of our members if they need a rule to clarify this, is the point I'm trying to make. If you can't figure this out without being slapped in the face with a rule (which mind you, no one reads to begin with) then obviously there's a problem.

 

Anyways, I added it to the rules since people are obviously lacking in the common sense department.
