Webdesign (Medieval) BigBoiBets

Completed webdesign for BigBoiBets RS Poker site.
Everything is made from scratch with pen tool and a lot of hard work. Forgot to mention, background is stock!

Off-topic: Joined sythe today, i have a graphic shop on two other forums, not going to name them (classed as advertising, if i'm correct), huge graphics market section here so i thought i would drop by.

I wouldn't go around claiming I made everything from scratch when the background are stocks Just to keep from running into problems.
Just wondering, are those things on the edges supposed to be sand paper?

 

Forgot to add that bit, background is not by me.
The whole content area is actually a scroll but for preview version i only captured the hiscores page, on main page the whole content area is scroll.

 

I think it's artistic, but completely the wrong idea for the agenda you're chasing.

EDIT: I also despise image based web layouts.. Learn some css and adopt a more professional approach, this says nothing to me about poker. How do you plan on making that responsive/adaptive lol?

 

I don't like it.

The brown bits on the outline of the brown bits look to empty, and cut out.
Same with the outline of the stoney part.
Also don't enjoy the text.

I agree with smokehuts, this does not suit the theme of a poker website, but more of runescape.

I dont like the bown things besides but Overall, i think its good.

On your highscore title, theres red that annoys me and it dont look clean if you know what i mean.

 

A lot of sites are static and not responsive, this wasn't going to be responsive web design from start and theme was chosen by client, not me, however you do have a point and i'm sure that sooner or later i will add more poker style elements.

 

The problem you face with making such a decision, is that you narrow your customers to only a pc. Imagine if I really wanted to play your poker or check your site from my phone. Loading up multiple images like so would be an absolute chore.. All I can say is that making it look professional should be a higher priority than it fitting in with runescape. I would rather trust a site that looks well thought out and designed, than someone who designs it based on runescape.

 

impractical and too busy. focus on usability and add graphics afterwards.

It's a bit too monotone, i don't know it doesn't feel high quality. It just looks very soft. Very weird use of colors aswell.

 

For what BigBoi wanted, it's exactly as specified. The only thing I would change is how soft the bevels are, and the very top bricks aren't set it too heavy on the edges to give a realism look. Other than that, it's good.
