ive sold my rsgp to 4rsgold.com and they're legit, do u know any other legit rs gold seller websites?

 

So it seems like GP prices have dropped a ton lately, what do you think caused this change and where do you see it going from here? Just curious to hear your opinion

 

There are two things that are causing this. People quitting due to Jagex MicroTransactions. Also there is rumours that a big gold hoarder dumped his gold after quitting really cheap. In a sense once Bot Nuke Part Deux happens i can see gold rising $.10-$.15. Only if new Items come out that are expensive or more rsgp is needed will the gp ever go back to what it was,

GP has been at a steady crash because of all the bots that are available. GP is reverting back to what it once was before the first bot nuke. Frost dragon bots played a rather big role. Not to mention how easy it has become to create and run a bot farm once again.

Nice of you to spread a rumor like that. You do know that loads more were sold before the first bot nuke. I mean 10's of billions (I'd put it around 50B+) were traded on a daily basis. I'll let Grave answer this himself... Think chinese though for the clue.

Late reply. Obviously, down. The game is dying very much. I assume the prices will rise again at some point but that will be at a time where there's so little trade going on that it is simply harder to come by gold. It would be when everyone milks it so hard, there's nothing left and all the gold farmers move on to another game.

While registering company in poland for trading RSGP it counts itself as 'No material goods' and has 23% vat for it from your selling price. Have you got any alternatives how to register this company to make it Selling price - Costs = Profit - 23 % vat?

You should just start counting in the VAT prices in your calculations. Whenever I sold to European customers through certain methods I did that, since the processors were based in Europe and charged me that.

I would sell that for $10,000 at the moment, as-is, or $15,000-20,000 based on how much of my starting management/guidance you would need. The last month, before I left it, we made about $6,000 so you should be able to make a return profit quickly. When I had a gold shop, we lost more than 1b in chargebacks. We lost all profit and all money.

When we tried contacting paypal, they accepted the chargeback immediatly... So they were against us even if we called them.

Is there a way to prevent those? If i sell through a website, what should i include so they cant chargeback? Is there any great ways to be safe?

Build up your reputation, just as you explained. Then start doing a few bulk trades to get the hang of it, and so you don't lose money from customers charging back. Once you're more comfortable with it, start learning about payment gateways, making a website, etc, and plan it all out.

It was a hobby in the beginning, but turned into a full-time thing in 2011. I think it was because I got older and I actually looked at is as a business rather than a hobby, which I did during the earlier times since I actually played Runescape. Near the end, it was becoming too much. I had the choice of either closing the business or stopping school. I guess I could have taken less classes, but I just stopped everything, moved on, got a house, and now I'm just retired for the time being.

They're usually very against sellers, as the buyers are what really keep PayPal going. Sellers have to put up with their shit. In your case, I'm assuming the chargebacks were legitimate which is why you continuously lost. You need to take more security precautions for larger trades.

Don't give in. The number one cause of chargebacks is you. If someone continuously buys through PayPal, tell them to use another method until you can trust them more as a regular customer. You need to have limits. People who chargeback will try whatever they can to get you to sell them more. "Oh, I'll pay you more," or "come on man I've been buying a lot from you." That's the first step: don't give in. Then, have a set up security precautions that you absolutely follow yourself. Do calls, get IDs, etc. Find the best line in between inconveniencing customers and staying stay.

Yes. It's always a downward spiral for any game. The developers never put in anything to stop mass farming or to get rid of the gold in game so inflation happens. That combined with the game itself dying puts the answer at a definite yes.
