Vote no to Prestige

Calm down mate :-D , they didn't release it,they made a vote poll for it instead - it'll never come,they said they need 75% 'YES' but currently it's 62% 'NO'.

 

Regardless, the idea is asinine and the fact they'd even consider it in the first place is testimony to how much they're fucking up with their once great game.

Still don't see the big deal. Someone needs to convince me that Runescape isn't already dead regardless of this possible update. There is so much dead content in the game. And before you bash me, this is from someone who loves the game. I've played since 05 and have tried to be open minded to every single change Jagex has made. To show how much things have changed, they're not even doing an Official Halloween event..a staple of Runescape since long before even I played. They're just not the same anymore, the game is dead, the items look the same and like shit quite frankly...you can find worlds with under 100 people (half of which are probably still botting). Games dead, it's time to move on unless they do something to revitalize it...which is hard to see happening...they tried to by overhauling the entire game twice (EoC + RS 3)...and both just lost players.

 

only thing jagex can do to revive the game is to roll the whole game back to before eoc and players should come back, i for one would start actively playing again

 

It's not dead to jagex if they're making more money than they ever have.

 

Where did they announce that they aren't doing a halloween event :/ That is a part of runescape that I've always enjoyed. The last few that are "run around to different locations" have been absolutely shit anyway I guess :/

In two years when they have 5k players online they'll release a poll and by then it'll be too late..

I'm not sure if they officially announced it, but apparently the Lumbridge Rebuilding event is the replacement for a Halloween Event this year. It said so on RS Wiki and I also perused the forums for a date on a Halloween Event and all of the threads said there wasn't one or that the lumbridge thing was going to replace it this year. Apparently Jagex claimed before that resources are wasted in making temporary events...which tells me events may be gone for good...not just Halloween.

Gonna watch video now, but notice I also said forums. There were like 4-5 threads I saw "no event". On official forums. Let me watch now. Err....this video shows EXACTLY what I said. When I said no event, I meant that the Rebuildathon thing was going to replace it and be considered the event. So basically everything I said is true. I fail to see how rebuilding Lumbridge constitutes a Halloween based event. Yeah, it's an event, not a Halloween one though. You clearly misinterpreted what I said because this video simply regurgitated everything I said.

Just another shit update to a dying game and another middle finger to the veteran players. As for the original topic & prestige, if this prestige poll gets more no votes than yes votes, don't be surprised at all if prestige still enters the game. They'll just add some twist to it and put it into the game. Jagex gets what Jagex wants...even under the guise of putting up polls to make the players think they have any say (remember the RWT + Wilderness fake poll?). This isn't directed at you, just a general comment. The above part was directed at you simply because I think you misunderstood my words.

 

No shit it's fun reading about more failed shit Jagex is doing, just proves why everyone quit already.

Thank you for all of your continued support. I agree it is sad that anyone could conceive of such an insulting update. But there is still hope

62% no / 38% yes so far, and it doesn't appear as if there are any more players to vote as it has slowed down a lot.

 

Until Jagex comes up with some bullshit twist and adds something similar anyway.

 

This, People loved runescape the way it was because they didnt have micro transactions and their current combat system
then they went and derped.

 

i don't agree with micro transactions staement

yes everyone hated it but pre eoc there still was 70-80k players daily


rs was loved for the simple combat mechanics that made it different then other games. now it's the same as wow and sort of legue

Then simply don't play it and go play 07,and if you are already playing 07 then why do you care about eoc..
