Vouches for receiving free service?

I dont think you should be able to be vouched for receiving free service (Takes time and effort to provide) I can see being vouched for providing free service but being vouched just for accepting free service is a easy way for a scammer to rack up vouches. They do nothing,Can just request low level accounts to be leveled,Basically vouches for doing nothing. And they arnt quality. May sound a bit stupid because im bad at wording things but i hope people can understand this

 

Can you give an example?

 

All I can suggest is reviewing vouches before trading, looking at join dates and reviewing post history then making your own decision on whether to trust another user.
Trading safe is the key to success.

 

I understand what you're saying and I support it. The person whom is receiving the free service shouldn't be vouched they need nothing but get their account trained on or whatever it maybe for free.. 100% support.

 

Being specific with vouches and having regulations on certain trades just doesn't work. Plus you vouch someone not just because you trusted them with cash, but perhaps they were easy to contact, pleasant to deal with etc.

If you're going to trade someone, it's your responsibility to look at vouches, what they say and what they're for when determining how trustworthy someone is.

 

I feel like using that logic Roary that vouches for graphics should be allowed. Why should someone be able to receive a vouch for getting a free service?

 

Vouches for graphics is more to do with the person doing the GFX than the person receiving them. It'd be abused so that deliberately bad attempts could make you seem trusted, you can't do deliberately bad at say, skilling - it always has the same end result.

Yeah I understand that. But let's say you do a free service for me. Then you vouch for me. How did I earn any trust what so ever all I did was receive the service. That's what OP is referring to.

 

Because vouches don't just represent being trusted with cash value, in my eyes anyways. I'll vouch someone because they're easy to deal with, they're not rude, they make life easy for you as the other party etc. That's just my perspective.

 

So therefore it becomes no different then vouches for graphics?

 

If we over-complicate vouching/have a list of do's and don'ts (I'm aware we already have a few), it just becomes a hassle for not only the user (especially new ones who get confused at simple rules as is) but for staff trying to regulate it.

Someone being vouched for receiving a free service is like leaving a buyer feedback on eBay - you say "thanks for dealing with me" and move on, and they get a little plus sign next to your input. I don't see a problem with it; just check on people's vouches if you're planning on trusting them with anything of value.

All we can say is read the vouch fully and if you don't trust the user 150%, use a middleman.
