Request jagex to free up a name?

Can I request jagex to free up a name for me on an account that has been inactive for years? If so how would i go about this, Could I email them? Would I get a response if I emailed [email protected]? Thanks.

 

Unless you have actual Jmod friends, you will not be able to get a name personally freed up for you. Countless ppl have tried.

Your best bet would be to wait though. Mod Jane(?) was looking into releasing inactive names soon, and was asking High Level Forum users for what names were wanted. She got the general timeframe of how back and how inactive the players are and was going to release them in due time, with a system in place to stop name snipers.

No. I have been on the HLF and it clearly says that you cannot ask for a name to be released.

 

You would have to ask a Jmod personally in game, they don't do email requests anymore.

oh wow, would be amazing to get my dream name without it being sniped by someone else instantly like happened last time. back in 2010... ahhh.
Let's hope Mod Jane gets this good! I will play "RS3" just for my name if i have to.
