My own playtime was 12-16hrs a day back then, so i think it would be more likely to keep it at about that amount, then to cut it down to 7-8 hrs per day.

But ofcourse , i didnt follow the Guidelines. Dont think it would have changed anything tho..

 

All bots from RiD have been taken down until he can re-establish the standards that should be expected from RiD bots. Here is his statement on the matter. I will be posting this in a few threads. Bots will return when they are ready.

Has the security hole in the forum base been patched yet? I remember there was a database leak of all the accounts and passwords of Robots in disguise. I know this because alot of my other accounts ended up being hacked because of the database leak which sort of led me to stay away from Robots in Disguise.

Has this security hole been fixed?
What other security measures has Robots in Disguise done to keep our forum accounts safe?
Why was the whole database leaked in the first place?

 

This happened ages ago. Probably more than a year ago. It was an easy patch and RiD has established measures that ensure this could not happen again. It was basically a vulnerability in vBulletin that vBulletin neglected to fix and so RiD developed his own system of things. There is no danger from that kind of threat anymore.

All passwords were reset to prevent their abuse once the matter was fixed.

 

That's good to hear , so Robotz in Disguise no longer uses vbulletin? If so what forum do they use now?

 

They use vbulletin but that particular vulnerability has been patched.

 

vBulletin is still used for the forums but all account login information is handled using RiD's custom software to ensure that vulnerabilities like the past do not creep up again.

Is it me or does that RiD Genesis look like a terrible update?

It seems like a huge pain to use...

Not yet. Genesis is the current project, and with Genesis, you will be able to bot almost anything you want in any version of RS, as well as other games as well.

All bots for RiD are currently offline while Genesis is under development. When Genesis is released you will be able to bot virtually anything on any version of RuneScape, as well as many other games.

If you're using hotmail, it's a known issue. You can submit a support ticket, and RiD will fix it once Genesis is released.
