Gambling and Swap FC Threads- Where do I belong?

The Issue?
Gambling, Dicing, and Swap FC's should be relocated.

Currently, Gambling and Swap FC threads are located under the "Runescape 3 General" forum in the "Runescape Mini Games & PKing" subforum (Here)

This subforum should be used for the discussion of Runescape minigames and PKing. Why? Obviously because it is a subforum of Runescape 3 General (which is used for the discussion of RS3) and its own description is "Discuss Runescape 2 Mini Games and PKing here." (Also note that 2 should be changed to a 3.)

What is it used for?
Currently it is largely being used for the advertisement of various Gambling services, Dicing services, and Swap FC's. Both of these types of threads that are posted don't have anything to do with Runescape Minigames or PKing, but even don't even contain any form of discussion on gambling, dicing, or swap fc's let alone Runescape Minigames or PKing.

Gambling and Dicing
The validity of these threads being here is somewhat granted. Although they are not official Runescape minigames, gambling and dicing are a type of "minigame" that incorporates the game of Runescape. However, this still doesn't give reason as to why threads advertising their specific service are in a forum that is used for discussion.

Swap FC's
The validity of these threads being located here is practically 0. Not only do they contain no discussion, but they also don't even pertain to Minigames or PKing of any sort, even outside of Runescape. Swap FC's are an exchange service. They provide a service that exchanges gp between the two sides of Runescape, 07 and RS3.

The Solution!
The solution to this is pretty simple. Both types of threads need to be relocated on the basis that they don't discuss anything and don't even pertain to the things under which they are suppose to be discussing.

Where?
Swap FC's need to be relocated inside of the Gold Exchange Market forum. I would suggest maybe a subforum that follows the rest under Gold Exchange titled "Runescape 3 and 2007 Gold Exchange" or other name that pertains to Swap FC's and what they do.

Gambling threads are a little bit tougher to relocate. I would suggest that they be moved into a subforum of its own under "User Services". I feel like this best fits Gambling over all other locations because of what it does. Gambling services provide a means for people to gamble using Runescape currencies at a certain fee.

Regardless of where they are relocated, I feel it is obvious that they don't belong in their current subforum.

I know the above was a wall of text, but I tried to break it up as best I could. I appreciate those who took the time to fully read it in its fullness.

 

We can rename the section to "RuneScape Clans and Minigames." Swap FCs are free to post in the Gold Exchange market.

 

But then why would it be under a discussion forum if all they do is bump up their specific service and all their posts are pictures of them trading x amount.
i.e. There is no discussion in their posts...

 

AFAIK, it has not been a discussion forum since 2010/2011.

 

Then why keep it under RS3 Discussion?

 

Yeah that's probably the best way to settle this.

 

I realize it is the easiest thing to do, but I feel the other options are better suited for putting the two threads in locations that their services actually interact with.

I see what you mean now. Regarding Gambling/Dicing/Other clans, I do agree that they're in an inconvenient section. I can't think of a better place than under User Services so I support that notion.

 

Runescape Clans and mini games (in my opinion) is also the way to go as every type of Community/Group, gambling,swapping ect can come under the heading of a 'Clan'. Plus this way people will know where to post these topics rather than being confused or having to search all over the website.

 

Thats not account for the discussion side of the main forum that sub forum would be under. Dicing and swap fcs have waaaay more to do with the market and user services..

I dont see any reason why swaps cant be done in the current gold market sections.
