Am I the only one who thinks he still deserves his rank? He's traded more than everyone on this thread combined has. I've only ever seen him in trouble once and everyone pounces on the poor guy.

R2 has traded on sythe for like 6 years and is the number one seller. He prob has done more than 10k trades legitly. I feel he shoudnt be punished for one mistake he may have made as he still is trusted as shit and the amount of dedication he put into sythe.

I supported Just un Dude's ban because I recognize the fraud and the danger it presented to others. Viou's I wasn't around for due to... extenuating circumstances. I would have to see the guide to make an argument, but I believe that OP's point is that Viou was used to make an example that gold sellers aren't invulnerable. The point that 'Well it's your friends stuff so you might be able to sell it' isn't really a valid argument. Even if you are best friends with the person, if you're worried that the items might be discovered missing any reasonable person would assume that the goods were gotten through less-than-honest means.

It would be the equivalent of someone running up to you on the street and being like "Hey, I got this stuff that I took from my friend that I want to sell you." You're like "Sure, sure" and then he says "I hope he hasn't come home yet" or something similar to that. It throws up a red flag, that isn't what a reasonable person says when trying to sell stuff for their friend.

Just un was banned for something people were doing months before he did it, N4n0, bsgpseller, and a few others all sold duped gold before just un discovered his dupe, karl was curious as to how he could be making bills whereas the crucible dupe could only make a few mils. I'm sure karl's personal financial situation had something to do with his ban as well but the reason he was banned was for calling karl a lier, originally he was given a twc + market ban but then karl started saying stuff about him which weren't true so he pmed karl and karl banned him.

It's more about the double standard that's set, the matkias guy offloaded billions of gold to resellers here and was never banned. The resellers never admitted they sold duped gold but if you look under just un dudes or matkias' PA/ sythe vouches you can see how much gold was offloaded to resellers, Grave even offered to buy the duped gp at a discounted price but never stated in his sale thread he was selling duped gp.

The whole buying and selling stolen gp thing didn't promote due diligence in companies all it promoted was to be ignorant of the fact. I'm sure gold buyers still buy stolen gp considering the mark up you can put on it, all they have to do now is say they didn't know it was stolen and they'll be fine.
