Racism and discrimination should...

Automatically warrant a 3 day ban. There should be no reason for anyone on this forum to be calling anyone a nigger, spick, faggot, or any other racist or discriminatory thing you can think of. I don't see a 1 point infraction being fit for such behavior, and people who use these terms should have a while off from the site to think over their vocabulary choices.

This rule would of course not apply to the spam forum, because people who post there already know what they are going in to.

I feel this isn't to much to ask.

You guys ban people who admit they have hacked people in the past, none of which are sythe users, but you don't ban people for using words that could potentially lead to an arrest for hate crimes or verbal assault.

 

Its already against the rules outside of the spam forum.

You can already get an infraction for that. If you're talking about the Spam Forum, well people need a place where the rules don't apply.

This is the Internet... there's all sorts of people out there. Not everyone is going to have the same opinions / views as you do.

Are you talking outside the SF? Or the entire forum?

Oh really? I just reported a guy for calling me a fag in a PM, and I reported "I_DONT_BOT" for using the word "nigger" in the Feedback section.

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. I'm quite sure you don't review every single post posted on this website now, do you?

If you don't like seeing those words I suggest you:

1) Simply ignore the user
or
2) Throw your computer out the window

 

If you call someone a nigger in school and a teacher hears it, you automatically get a 2 day suspension at my old high school.

Don't tell me to calm down, child. You can be arrested for using the word "nigger" as it is a form of a hate crime, and in some cases can be considered verbal assault. If it's illegal in real life, it should be illegal on here.

You missed the part where I said this is the internet.

You also can't get arrested for using racial slurs. Not in the US, the first amendment is free speech. You may sue someone, but you can't get arrested.

 

Its not illegal in "real life" unless its used to intentionally provoke someone.

Like I've already said it isn't allowed on the forum if its being used to intentionally flame or provoke someone. I don't see why being racist should be treated any differently than any other form of flaming (the post being deleted and an infraction/warning being issued). A three day ban seems pretty unnecessary as an infraction gets the point across just fine.


Also being immature and calling people "children" isn't going to make anyone take you seriously.

Ex: Saying "I hope Obama gets assassinated" will get you prison time.
