Stickies Update proposal

imageshack = outdated.
Instead of separate stickies they should all go into the first 'how to make a report' so just merging them all into one big sticky.

That sticky should be put in every section mentioned above and the only difference within each section is the templates of how to make the report.

Considering it's one of the most active sections (even more active than vouch section) having it easier to navigate through would be great. Although with the recent mod activity which has been the best it's ever been i'm not saying it's hard to manage all in one single thread but just from a users perspective, also the addition of report an impostor would be nice considering reporting an impostor doesn't really do much however it could go onto a giant list, i know we usually depend on the users for this but if this was regulated/updated by mods it would be nice too.​

 

I'm fine with the merging/changing around of stickies but I don't think we need separate sections for TWC, Imposter, etc.

 

Any reason why not? Good to have a list so we can match up IP's to users etc.. and TWC is just because it's a category of it's own.

Yes to the stickies but the extra sections aren't needed.

 

Puts a bit more unnecessary work on the mods and to be quite frank, the users reporting someone too.

 

People dont read stickies, there's more of a chance that people will get the gist of them if they all have a title visable

 

This. Unfortunately, I don't even know if they read the titles but at least it is something. I'm sure some of the non-sticky readers might read the titles at least. It's not a community section or anything, so the five or whatever stickies doesn't really affect people.

Then again, Spam Forum has five stickies and no one seems to care.

 

Not sure what work you are referring to? It's just clicking through sub forums will be the only extra work..

Also for the user it's a clear navigation for example if i wanted to report a ban evader or report a scammer i know which section to do it in. Also if i wanted to request a TWC because someone had purchased gold and sold it for less then what he purchased it for or other dodgy behaviour etc, i don't think that's in the same category as someone who scammed 50m.. etc So the priorities will be much clearer and mods can attend to it how they see fit.

 

Users don't read stickies in any section, doesn't mean every section needs to be dissected into multiple other sub-forums for better navigation.

The current setup is non-complex and easy to navigate. No additions need to be made.

 

Support for the merging of stickies - will help make the process easier to follow.

More sections is just more clutter though.

Sorry TPM, this isn't really needed.

The sections would just cause more clutter and make things harder to find and the stickies are barely read as is. I'd say 6/10 spam reports lead to a staff member linking to one of the stickies so clearly people don't read them as is and merging them together would also just make the proper one harder to find.
